Yossarian (polymathicmonkey) Kool! Might want to edit it and fix the link, though. ;)

Oh! Thanks for the info, Mel!

Yossarian (polymathicmonkey) hehe no problem. It was still reachable, just with a little extra trouble, lol. I snagged the PDF and will have to read it in the near future. :)

Here's a free book for you good folks to download! If anyone who doesn't have an account on Scribd.com to download the novel, and would rather for me to send the pdf to you via email, please let me know.

(Thanks so much to Mel for letting me know that last tidbit about Scribd.com!)

Enjoy!

Greg | 16 comments It's been a little while since I read any short fiction so I'll check out Betsy Boo too! Stay tuned for comments.

Here is a short tale entitled "Having Faith" published in the April 2008 issue of webzine Necrotic Tissue. Just scroll down to page 4 and give it a read!

Yossarian (polymathicmonkey) Well as you saw I read Dark Places of Rest, which I enjoyed, it's a good concept, it just needs a little bit of shaping up is all :) and I've also read the first magazine one you shared, Betsy Boo. That one was amusing, haha. I liked that you couldn't tell what exactly was going on at first, and then once you were clued in (before poor Betsy, hahaha), then it turned more humorous, with the rolling head and “Two-timer!” and all, lol.

Unfortunately Scribd doesn't let you dl w/o an account, but I have the site still open & will read through it on there soon, and will check out this other one, too. :)

Thanks, Mel! Glad you enjoyed Betsy Boo! It's one of my favorites. Hopefully you'll enjoy Raising Riley. I feel pretty good about the editing done to it. My editor I had at the time kept slapping my hand with a wooden ruler every time there was a mistake...well, almost! lol!

Yossarian (polymathicmonkey) LOL, whatever gets the job done, eh? :P

Here's an abundance of reading about some really bizarre characters drifting around in my world:

Greg | 16 comments You're welcome, Brick! I've just uploaded my review. I'm a bit more critical of Dark places of rest than I was of Sectors mainly because of copy-editing issues.

That's fine. No worries, man.

I read 'Having faith' and very much enjoyed it! Although the story was clearly heading towards a dramatic resolution, it wasn't what I expected! I'll be reviewing the whole magazine when I finish it soon.

It's a pity that Necrotic Tissue is now offline! People won't be able to download issue 2 from the site any more.

Glad you enjoyed my tale! I would have thought they would have kept open the archives for others to read, at least. Oh well....

message 24: by Greg (new)

Greg | 16 comments I guess if you contact the publisher for permission, you could host the edition with your story in it on your own blog.

That might be an idea. I do know the guy personally.
