I'll sound like a bandwagon reader but the Wheel of Time series is currently my goal series to complete. I started the books before the show became a hot topic, and I want to get as far ahead of the show as possible since they will only do about half the seasons as there are books.

The Scythe Series has been a rough draft series for a decade now, so that is my focus and likely will be for years to come. Currently working on the fourth installment and have it mapped out for five total books. I've started to dabble in a teen dracula story as well, but that one is just for my own entertainment at this stage.

Can't say I'm experienced enough to be giving advise, but one thing I have found very useful, is the ability to act. Acting, or pretending to be someone else, gives you insights into how different people behave or respond to situations. When you learn to do this, you can then apply it to your characters and basically be acting through the written word. If you can learn to truly pretend you are those characters, rather than just their descriptor, their dialog, actions, and general character will become more genuine.

There's literally no limit to creation. Other forms of creation require tools, resources, or even have the simple limit of reality. With writing, you're only limited by your imagination and when you allow that to expand, you find yourself in front of endless potential.

Well I have the attention span of a humming bird, so my writer's block often means I'm going to start doing something else instead. The most productive way I have found to use this, is by having multiple books being written at the same time. Some are just for fun, some are in their 100th edit, and others are my current "focus". This way, even if I get blocked on one, I can move to another and get the writing juices flowing again.

The January 6th coup was successful, Trump is the world's newest permanent dictator, and A Handmaiden's Tale has become the new reality.

Who stole my car from in front of my apartment building? Was it the drug dealer across the hall? The methheads downstairs? Or was it part of something bigger?
Genuinely asking because I'm still sour about it.

I guess the obvious answer would be my own world in the Scythe Series, since that's why I created it. That seems like a cop-out answer, so my next choice would probably be Narnia. Yes, there's magic and wonder, but also the talking animals would make my life as a veterinarian much simpler.
