Hello Whitley Strieber. I listened to your recent guest appearance on the podcast on Coast-to-Coast titled: "Alien Contact The What, The Why, and How" circa Feb. 27, 2022. I was wondering if you are open to private enquiries or private interviews? What caught my attention was the segment on employing set meditations to reach out to them. I was hoping to learn more about both the methodology and spirituality.

Hi Whitley As a lover of the book and movie The Wolfen, I was curious if you, as the author, were happy with the movie?

Whitley Strieber It was pretty good for it's time period. There were some very striking scenes. I've got my fingers crossed for a remake. Modern special effects could really increase the impact.

Any chance that your short story collection "Evening with Demons" will ever be republished?

Whitley Strieber If I can get to it, I would love to, and add new stories, of which there are about 15-20. No definite plans, though.

You're an excellent author but perhaps you should've kept to fiction? Although I believe in magick, reincarnation, the "visitors", cryptozoology & more, I do not believe you yourself have had any supernatural experiences. I consider your books well-written, imaginative works of fiction. I don't hold it against you though since you gave voice to otherwise voiceless abductees & frightened witnesses of the inexplicable.

Whitley Strieber My wife always used to say that the human species is too young to have beliefs. What we need are good questions. It’s wise advice, especially in your case as you are ignoring the numerous named witnesses in my books.

Hi, I saw on this site that there used to be a kindle edition of The Secret School, however, I can't seem to find the kindle edition of it for sale. Is it available anywhere?

Have you read the Power of Now by Ekhart Tolle? When I first read your book, The Key: A True Encounter, I was drastically effected by what was said. Directly after reading your book, I was mailed Ekhart's book as gift from a relative. I read it, and I found it directly connected to what was being said in your work. In particular the topics about mediation.

Whitley Strieber I haven’t read the Tolle. I believe it came out in 2004. The 1st edition of the Key was published in 2000

I absolutely LOVE your book Communion and it is one of my all time favorites. I'm no longer in the position to spend money on books so I rely on my local library to order them by request and if I'm lucky they will approve and get the book. I am dying to read The Key: A True Encounter. Do you ever do promotions for you work by providing free copies for reviews? I figured it was worth a try to ask. I'm dying to read it!

Whitley Strieber I have tried for a long time to figure out Goodreads advertising and giveaways. I would love to do this, but the site is opaque to me. So far, I have only managed to set up one giveaway. Since then, I have never been able to figure out how to do another.

It is listed that 2012: The War for Souls is a sequel to The Grays, I can't tell how the two are related as they have different stories, and different characters. Is 2012 a sequel to the Grays?

Whitley Strieber Wherever you found this, it's wrong. 2012 and the Grays are both stand-alone novels.

Has any alien investigator ever spent the night in an experiencer’s room to obtain a video of the aliens, or to capture an alien with lasers or electromagnetic radiation? Could an alien be photographed with heat or radiation sensitive cameras? How can I assist alien researchers find tangible proof? I am a senior citizen, who recently read your book "Transformation." It was confusing and frightening.

Whitley Strieber I have made many attempts to do this myself. I have cameras set up in my house. But this is not like capturing an image of an animal on a trail cam. Whatever they are, they are exquisitely aware of us and their surroundings.
I have seen one clear photograph of a group of three of them. It was taken in the suburbs somewhere in this country at night. It was shown to me by some Air Force personnel, but unfortunately they would not let me have a copy of it. I think if these entities ever want photographic or other evidence of their presence to be publicly revealed, it will be. Thank you so

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Whitley Strieber I would go to the New Orleans of Confederacy of Dunces and buy a hot dog from Ignatius J. Reilly. Would I eat it? That's another question...

Am I correct in assuming that the cancellation of the 'Hunters' TV series means there will be no more Alien Hunter novels? (as a side not I want to add that your novels have only gotten better over the years. I hope you continue. From The Grays, to 2012, to Hybrids, you wrote some of the best thrillers I've ever read)

My wife at the time, Suzann, went through a similar experience that you had on Boxing Day, 1985. Hers was a dream in the spring of 1984. I could send you a link to my blog about it, if you'd like. My question is: how many others have experienced the Library setting, as described in "Breakthrough"?

Whitley Strieber I don't know of any with that specific memory.

Will you write any further books about your experiences/contact with alien life forms? Thanks

Whitley Strieber I have not been understood and am not planning any further books at this time. They are not about "contact with alien life forms," they are descriptions of an unknown experience and questions about its nature. My most recent book on this subject, Super Natural: a New Vision of the Unexplained, explores the question in depth.

Whether there are alien life forms here or not I do not know. The media made me the poster-child for this belief.

Do you have an opinion on the Flat Earth theory that is becoming increasingly popular?

Whitley Strieber How could anyone entertain such drivel even for a moment? It's an example of scientific idiocy, completely without the slightest rational foundation.

Are you planning on writing a part 2 for 'The Grays?'

Whitley Strieber Yes, if the movie goes into production. I'd love to do it, but that is a condition set by the publishers. Otherwise, they won't publish it.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Whitley Strieber Pamela Flitton and Kenneth Widmerpool. As unattractive as they are, their marriage reveals their humanity, and explores the mystery of marriage with a clear and unsentimental eye.

What advice would you give to an aspiring supernatural horror writer trying to get published for the first time?

Whitley Strieber Write. That's the main thing. Then try to find an agent. If you can't, evaluate your work as honestly as you can. Compare it to published work that you like. Above all, be honest with yourself.
