Danielle Grainger There are many false "truths" and ignorance surrounding BDSM and what it can be, so I decided to take my main character through a few admittedly idealized but soul-growing experiences within that world.
Danielle Grainger "Becoming Bernadette" Book Three in the Bernadette Series.
College Professor, Dr. Bernadette Garneau, has fallen in love with the world of BDSM. She has a nascent interest in the pain to pleasure connection, but she has yet to find a partner interested in nurturing the soul within her body that they play with. Admittedly, she’s had incredible sexual encounters with experienced Dommes, but all of them left her feeling cold for one reason or another. Most of them simply want a sadistic roll in the hay. Bernadette wants a strong Domme who will love and nurture her before flogging her on a St. Andrew’s cross and after. One afternoon, she finally musters up the courage to venture out and meet some new friends in the BDSM community, and in walks a tall, handsome butch woman with fantastic hair and a confident stride. When this woman asks Bernadette, “Are you collared,” Bernadette truthfully answers, “No,” and accepts a dinner invitation for that very moment. She is walking on stars when she gets home at 2 a.m. after an ethereal sexual liaison. On the one hand, she wonders who she is becoming - she’s never been this promiscuous. And on the other hand, she wonders if this woman could finally be the Domme of her dreams.
Danielle Grainger Learn the craft. Put some time in at the woodshed. There are rules.
Danielle Grainger I love getting a message out in my stories and having readers respond. That is very satisfying.
Danielle Grainger Writer's block usually means I haven't delved into my characters' minds far enough to find out what they want (or think they want). So I typically step away from the laptop and do mindless activities where I can think, dream, create new situations for them.

For me, writer's block means I am trying to rush the story when it needs to unfold in its own time in my mind.
