Jon Messenger The girl on Wolves is Matilda "Mattie" Hawke, one of the locals who live in the tundra outside Haversham. She's one of the first people to challenge Inquisitor Whitlock when he arrives in town and she harbors an interesting secret that changes the way everyone views her.

Is there a fourth book in The World A Flame series?
Jon Messenger There is. Earth God came out earlier this year and finished the first story arc in the World Aflame series.

Wow Jon impressing How do you come up with these ideas?
Jon Messenger I'd be lying if I said I had a format. For some series like World Aflame, it's obviously inspired by Avatar: the Last Airbender. Others, like the new Magic & Machinery series, I just wanted to delve into something completely unique. I love the Sherlock Holmes books and wanted to introduce that style of character into a combination of steampunk and fantasy. I'm glad you're enjoying my books!
