What a great question. I think the future is the biggest mystery we all face. Every choice changes it. How about a book where you can go back and make a different choice and see how it turns out? That's a time travel story, or a choose your own ending book!

I have my happy places, like hikes in the Colorado mountains. A walk in the woods can do wonders to get the creative juices flowing. Sometimes I'll have a turning point I have to work out. Since my books are set here, I'm also gathering impressions for future passages. I'm lucky I don't get lost and fall off mountains. So far so good.

Stephen King said it best in his book about writing. Just do it. All the time. Everywhere. Don’t worry, it will get better and easier. Also, find a good group of writing friends to read your work and give you critiques.

I can let my imagination go. It’s also a very non-demanding WFH occupation. I write when I’m not walking, skiing, playing with a couple of adorable little boys in my life. It comes with me on planes, trains, vacations, at least it used to. Here’s to traveling again!

I love to hike in the woods. I really love to see wild life, from a safe distance, not disturbing them. Those encounters inspired my YA fantasy coming out in May - The Netahs.
