Hi Fran, so sorry for slow reply to your question. I do book tours although this year's events will be virtual because of the pandemic. I keep a list of book events on my website (KellyRimmer.com) and my Facebook page (Facebook.com/KellyMRimmer). Thanks for reading my book!! xo

Hi Boyce! Thanks so much for your kind words. I have another WW2 novel coming out later this year called The Warsaw Orphan, if you enjoyed The Things We Cannot Say I think you'll enjoy that one too. In the meantime, my books The Secret Daughter and Truths I Never Told You are also historical fiction. If you enjoyed the emotional aspect to The Things We Cannot Say and don't mind a little more suspense/tension in your stories, A Mother's Confession might be a good choice. Thanks again!

Hi Sandy, oh my goodness, thank you so much. Out of all of the characters I've ever written, Eddie is my favourite. I had a lot of help in planning his part of the story with a friend who is also a special ed teacher. Maybe one day it will be a film, who knows!! For now I'm just SO delighted and proud that people all over the world are getting to meet Eddie through the book, and to get a glimpse into the way some ASD families experience life. Thanks again for the message!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)

Hi Rachel! Thanks for your question. I'm the 'fixer' sister in my family too, for better or worse, although very happily none of my siblings have battled with addiction. Certainly some aspects of Lexie's desperation to make things better for the sister she so loves were inspired by how I have felt when my own siblings have had other struggles. As you might have read in the author's letter at the back, I did lose an uncle to addiction some years ago, which sparked my interest in the topic. I also did many months of research into addiction and family dynamics to shape the story in a (hopefully) realistic way. I really hope you enjoyed the book and thanks again for the question! Kelly

Oh thank YOU so much Tere! That story was pretty special to me. I did so many months of research wanting to get the detail right, wanting to do justice to women who are in Olivia's situation but also wanting to get 'that ending' just right...I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to get in touch!! xo

I get the best ideas when I'm walking or running in the morning - but writing is a bit more haphazard for me. I have a really small laptop that goes with me pretty much anywhere and I also do a lot of dictation into my phone! Thanks for asking, that's a great question :)
