Lol. Horror depends on perspective!
"I woke from the nightmare, trembling, sweaty. As I sat I sat up and looked in the mirror, I realized it was true: I had aged thirty years overnight!"

I just finished two historical mysteries while waiting for the next C. S. Harris to be released, caught up on the most recent Kurtherian novel by Anderle, and still have several urban fantasies and mysteries to go that were written by authors new to me. New adventures!

Great question but so easy for me. Tolkien's Middle earth. I'd have to visit the shire, travel to the court of King Aragorn, and maybe view the ruins of Modor. What a fantastic trip that would be!

Oh, so many, but one of the most memorable is Anita and Jean Claude from LK Hamilton's early Anita Blake books. I'm intrigued by the edgy relationship of dangerous people walking a thin line between hate and an unlikely if not forbidden love.

My most recent book was Eternal Fires, the finale of the Guardian Witch series. This entire series was character driven. With each book I asked myself, "Considering what's already happened, what would these characters do next?" In this particular book, I worked hard to tie up loose ends from the past and give readers a satisfying end to Ari's adventures.

Nothing new, I'm afraid. Know your main characters well enough that you can imagine how they will feel and react in every situation. Write as often as you can. And then be persistent in getting your story to readers. My first book was rejected by agents 167 times. :) Now I have 7 published.

I've never had writer's block. I have days when I don't want to write. Not often, and I indulge myself when they come by taking a few hours or even a full day off to go somewhere or read a book - or two. :) By the time I return, the story is calling me again.

I don't wait for inspiration. I write every day. Sometimes the magic works, and sometimes it's a struggle - but I keep writing. I have to admit that most of the time my characters tell me their story if I just listen.

Thank you for following Ari's story. My min pin Ranger has so much energy. I don't know what I'd do without his antics every day. :)

Persistence and practice. Keep writing. Every day you get a little better and a little closer to that moment when someone will say, "I loved your story."

I'm currently writing a manuscript tentatively entitled Eternal Fires, which is the 7th and final book in the Guardian Witch series. Date of release is not yet scheduled, but Wild Fire, book 6, is due to release on November 7,2014.
