Wow, that is a great question, Livy. To be honest, I hadn't thought about it because there is no interaction in the book between David and his parents. But as Helen's nickname Twinkle is based on her favorite song as a child, maybe David's is from his favorite TV show - Thomas the Tank Engine. So, perhaps his parents call him Choo-Choo as that's what he'd say when he was a toddler and wanted to watch the show. What do you think? Perhaps you have a better idea? Don't be afraid to share your work. If you get criticism, take a few days to think about it. Maybe what you wrote wasn't what you meant to write. Or maybe a sentence or two will clear up the motivation. Also, learn your craft. I did a lot of online courses and the feedback on the assignments was great.

I get to spend as much time as possible with my children. I can attend their school events, go on fieldtrips and walk them to and from home. Yet I still have a rewarding career which I love.

I clean the children's bathroom. I'm not sure if its the fumes from the cleaning products giving me a high or my whole body rebelling at doing something I hate. But it almost always results in an idea which solves a plot problem.
