Annette K. Larsen I have no plans for a sequel. Though I have toyed with the idea of doing a story where Charlie (the friend that lives down the hall) would be the main character. However, I don't know if that will ever come to fruition.
Annette K. Larsen I have two projects I'm working on right now. Both are contemporary, though neither one is directly linked to either of my other books.
Annette K. Larsen He's a gardener at the palace, then when he's fired, he helped his father with his woodworking business. But after he and Ella get married, they are gifted an estate that they are in charge of. So essentially he is a land owner/farmer. Does that answer your question?
Annette K. Larsen Hi Nessa, Sorry it took me so long to respond! I don't get very many questions on here, so I rarely check for new ones.
Of course I will be writing more books! And they will definitely be clean romance. I'm not sure if I'll stay more in the adult genre (with characters in their 20s instead of in their teens) or if I'll go back more toward young adult. But hopefully you'll be able to enjoy all of them.
Annette K. Larsen I'm working on something completely new! A contemporary romantic suspense. I may end up going back to Dalthia for some short stories later on, but for now I'm taking a break from it.
Annette K. Larsen Along the lines of Edenbooke, I like Nicole Van's stuff.
For comedies, I like the Brew Ha He series by Bria Quinlan.
Most books that I really like, I end up reviewing, so check out my 5 stars.
Annette K. Larsen I don't think I will be writing any more full length novels for that series, however there are several characters, including Gretchen and William, for whom I would like to write short stories.
Annette K. Larsen I'd have to refer you to my reviews. I try hard to review any books that I consider 4 or 5 star. Without knowing what genres you specifically like, it would be tough for me to name more specific ones. :)
Annette K. Larsen These are the ones that come to mind:
Edenbrooke
Jane Eyre
Pimpernell
These Is My Words
Ella Enchanted

P.S. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I get so few questions on here that I don't check for them regularly. :)

Annette K. Larsen Marianne Daventry and Sir Philip from Julianne Donaldson's Edenbrooke. I love that they treat each other with kindness and respect. I love that neither of them plays hard to get. I love that they play and have fun together, and TALK. They build a relationship instead of just being physically attracted to one another.
Annette K. Larsen Yes! Right now I am working on the story of Gavin's younger sister, Kinley. So it will be a little different because she's not part of the royal family, but since she's related to Gavin, you'll get to see him and Ella in a few scenes.
Annette K. Larsen It's up for preorder now and will be released on February 20th.
Annette K. Larsen Yes! I am writing Raina's story. In fact I just have the epilogue to write and I'll be finished with the rough draft. I should be able to release it in the next couple months.
Annette K. Larsen Many different ways. Sometimes I'll be unsatisfied with how a situation played out in a book I've read or movie I've seen and I'll start to think how I would resolve the situation. Other times it's just talking it out with my sisters, listening to music or deliberately immersing myself in the plot of my book to see if I can 'feel' my way through it.
Annette K. Larsen Write what you love. Write the kind of story that you enjoy reading. Writing is hard, but it's a whole lot easier if you write something that you would like to curl up and read yourself.
Also, make sure your readers have reason to respect and like your protagonist.
Annette K. Larsen My idea for Marilee's story, which I'm writing now, came from knowing that in order for me to respect Marliee enough to tell her story, she needed to have something happen in her life that forced her to grow up. I love that she was always silly and fun, but I needed her to have depth. Unfortunately that meant putting her through some pretty bad stuff. Thus was born her story, which is focused on how she recovers from her experiences, instead of being focused on the experiences themselves.
Annette K. Larsen I am working on Marilee's story. Those of you who have read Just Ella and Missing Lily will remember Marilee as the vivacious and often silly sister. However, Marilee's story takes place after she's lived a lot of life in a very short time and is left to reclaim herself.
Annette K. Larsen Seeing my character come to life. Being able to share them with other people and having readers love my characters just as much as I do.
Annette K. Larsen Sometimes getting out a good old fashioned notepad and pen is the best way for me to break through a block. Somehow that frees my thinking.
