Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Annette K. Larsen My idea for Marilee's story, which I'm writing now, came from knowing that in order for me to respect Marliee enough to tell her story, she needed to have something happen in her life that forced her to grow up. I love that she was always silly and fun, but I needed her to have depth. Unfortunately that meant putting her through some pretty bad stuff. Thus was born her story, which is focused on how she recovers from her experiences, instead of being focused on the experiences themselves.
