Thank you for asking. Moses and the Dragonborn is my third book and I am hoping to release it by the end of summer. The theme is let my people go.. In the meantime I have a short story coming out in an anthology by the Fellowship of Fantasy group. Charla Visits Earth will be part of a book entitled Hall of Heroes.

I have just learned that the best way to deal with writer's block is to put your WIP aside and write a short story.

Hello Sharon, I am not very organized or good at keeping to a schedule. I am working sporadically on the sequel to Ben the Dragonborn, but hope to have it finished by the end of June.

I spent a week at a retreat center with someone teaching a course on writing fiction. The only reason I took the course was that it seemed a whole lot easier than the other things they were offering that week. How wrong I was. Writing is hard work. Good writing is even harder. On my way home the idea for Ben the Dragonborn came to me and left me inspired to so something I never thought I would do: write.

My path to writing was not a typical one. I was not someone who always wanted to be a writer. I was happy doing other things with my life. I was not a writer looking for a story, but a person who had a story come and take up residence in their heart and mind. Before long the characters were demanding that I write them into being. And that was all right, because when I thought of them a smile would start in my heart and travel up to my face.

Put the time needed into editing your book. After you think it is perfect hire an editor. I wish I had done this for Ben the Dragonborn. I hired an editor after it was released. My second bit of advice is find a group of authors that you can join. Other authors are happy to share their experience with you.

The best thing about being a writer is having folks tell you that they liked your book. It really thrilled me when I heard of a family reading it on their way to grandma's house. Mom, dad, teenage girl and middle grade boy all enjoyed the story. I was also thrilled to hear that a school has a copy in the library and that the teens are telling one another that it is a worth while book to read.
