I have a family connection with Area 51, as I had found out my father worked there from 1968 to 1988. He never said a word about it to the family, saying that he'd worked up a the Tonopah Test Site. I found out from the FBI that this was a mere cover story. Our whole family had been under a secret FBI protection detail's surveillance the whole time. This finally explained how my folks always knew exactly what we were up to, even when there was seemingly no possible way for them to know. ...more

New release!

On 4-9-17 I will be releasing my latest novella. It is titled "Pipeline Through Purple Mist," and here is the blurb:

He had just recently gotten married, and now he was heading out of town to do a job making more money than he had in his entire lifetime. It wasn't right for newlyweds to be separated so early in their marriage, but money talks and bullshit walks. Little did Alfonso know that this wa Read more of this blog post »

Alan VanMeter I have self published twenty nine novels so far, and am soon to release number thirty. Many of my books share characters or the same general universe. Ten of my books are published under pseudonyms, so you won't find them under my name. My favorite genre is science fiction, but I have written outside this realm. Mostly I write for the love of the craft, not for any particular audience. However this being said, it is very exciting when someone likes what I have imagined.

Alan VanMeter I have recently published my 28th novel titled 'Sage: Green eyes from the mountains of martial propriety.

It is the story of a young girl living during the Ming Dynasty in China who must make a monumental decision to either renounce the world to become a Taoist nun, or submit to a prearranged marriage. The later choice would mean having her feet bound, thus ending her ability to practice the martial arts, which she dearly loves.
