Fans Share Their Favorite Invincible Comic Villains

Heroes are great and all, but we know that everyone loves a good villain. Luckily for us, the INVINCIBLE comic series had a TON of complex and sinister baddies during it’s 15 year run (some of whom have turned into allies). We asked fans like you on the INVINCIBLE twitter account to tell us which of these fearsome ne’er-do-well’s were their favorites and why! Check out the list we’ve compiled below. We’ve got everyone from the most obscure villains to the major big bads that made Mark’s life hell. Did your favorite INVINCIBLE comic villains make the list? Is there someone we missed? Let us know in the comments!

CONQUEST:

I’m a big fan of villains in comics. Some of my favs, for different reasons, are Negan, Joker, Two Face, Magneto and Sandman. For the combination of stellar writing and career defining art (for Ottley) my fav #Invincible villain is Conquest. pic.twitter.com/J7Hegtji30

— Mike (@mikerb2223) December 7, 2018

Conquest was my favorite villain because he really REALLY pushed Invincible to his limits like we had never seen before, his fight scenes were so intense and bloody, and just looked so amazing, and they had me wondering till the very end, “How could Mark possibly defeat him?”

— CiceroTheBasterd (@CiceroSoto) December 6, 2018

Conquest. The sheer brutality and sadism on display, from the number 1 the Viltrumite enforcer, left me shocked. How could a character like that exist in a comicbook like this?! Took the danger and urgency to the next level. pic.twitter.com/6qOymeGztw

— nerdschatting (Movies TV Comics) (@nerdschatting) December 7, 2018

The Entire Viltrumite Army:

omg, that's such a hard question! The Viltrumites as a whole because of all of the family/friend drama. Not knowing if your family really cared. The fighting for your life, fighting for your loved ones. All of the redemption stories of Nolan, Ursaal, Anissa & many more.

— Geek Room (@Geek__Room) December 7, 2018

DINOSAURUS:

Dinosaurus! I personally love characters that want to do good but Considered as a villain in the eyes of the public. And i cant blame them the guy is nuts pic.twitter.com/DHjKqYYuDb

— Sadi Mammadov (@MammadovSadi) December 7, 2018

POWERPLEX:

Powerplex. He gets an entire issue told from his perspective, including his tragic origin. Then his vendetta towards Invincible leads him to realize that his misguided obsession with him was actually blinding him from the truth. pic.twitter.com/Vo415lg0YV

— The Invincible Podcast (@InvincibleCast) December 6, 2018

THE FLAXANS:

The Flaxans, individually they're not much of a threat but coming from their home dimension in vast numbers they're a force to be reckoned with. pic.twitter.com/UuQx22S5hH

— Digital Pizza (@DigitalPizzaM) December 6, 2018

ROBOT:

So sneaky!!! pic.twitter.com/IlEQPWS4JX

— Marel Medina (@Marel_Medina) December 7, 2018

Too many good ones! It’s crazy. Mine might be Robot, because I was always second guessing myself with him!!!!

— Marel Medina (@Marel_Medina) December 7, 2018

Conquest and Thragg are definitely the tops. But since these comments covered them already…
Robot. That jerk kept us all guessing for a long time. He was an unexpected threat who truly believed he was right.

— The Nerd Bunker (@nerd_bunker) December 7, 2018

Octoboss:

There's a lot of great villains, but that character design for Octoboss tho.

— Confetti Yeti (@PaulMcGranite) December 6, 2018

Battle Beast:

Battle beast is the man, or I guess cat. But he is awesome

— Robert (@9to5nerds) December 6, 2018

Thragg

Thragg! Who else would keep a skull in his possession? pic.twitter.com/UqmqoDg7UC

— Greg Riemersma (@riemersma_63) December 6, 2018

Bi-Plane:

Bi-Plane. He was awesome. His design was incredible. A sick old man made himself (presumably) a WW1 era plane suit to fly around in. Stupid Immortal throwing him into space. At least we got to see him again

— Heath (@HT2099) December 6, 2018

Angstrom Levy:

Angstrom levy is one my favourite invincible villains ever love the power and I say he’s one of the toughest villains that mark ever faced.

We’re super excited to share another exciting new Skybound project with you fine folks! We’re partnering with Next Entertainment World’s Contents Panda to produce the series THE VILLAINESS! The show is based on the Korean film of the same name which debuted in 2017 and follows a deadly assassin who must make peace with her past. We’re beyond pleased that the director of the original film, JUNG Byung-gil, is slated to direct the pilot episode. We can’t wait for you to see all this epic action! For now, you can check out the press release below.

SKYBOUND ENTERTAINMENT AND CONTENTS PANDA TEAM TO PRODUCE THE VILLAINESS

The Television Series Will Be Based off the 2017 Korean Film

January 15th , 2019 (Los Angeles, CA) – Skybound Entertainment and Next Entertainment World’s Contents Panda announced a partnership to produce The Villainess, a scripted series based on the 2017 Korean film of the same name. JUNG Byung-gil, who directed the original film, is attached to direct the pilot episode.

Based off the 2017 theatrical version, The Villainess will follow Anes, who was kidnapped from her home in Korea and raised as a deadly assassin in Los Angeles. Just when Anes believes she has found true peace, unsettling events drive her to return to Korea to uncover dangerous truths about her home and her past.

“JUNG Byung-gil has quickly established himself as one of the world’s great action directors, and we’re incredibly excited to be working with him to expand the world of The Villainess into a thrilling international series,” said Bryan and Sean Furst in a joint statement.

Skybound and Contents Panda are currently looking for a writer for The Villainess.

“We expect that The Villainess, which made a successful debut in Cannes Film Festival, will bring special entertainment and fun to the audience with its rich stories of the genre, and through the partnership with Skybound Entertainment, already well-known for The Walking Dead,” said KIM Jae-min of Contents Panda.
