Galactic Outlaws: Get it cheap (or free) today!
That means you can get it for the curiously priced $1.19. I’m assuming US only, sorry foreign friends!
So what if you don’t have a $1.19 but still want to read the book… here’s what to do…
First: Enter this giveaway because Galaxy’s Edge LLC (our publisher) is giving away 50 copies of Galactic Outlaws with a 1 in 25 chance of winning. This one lasts for two weeks or while supplies last. If you win… enjoy! No need to view the other steps.
Second: If you don’t win, you can read Galactic Outlaws and all the other Galaxy’s Edge books for free on Kindle Unlimited. You can get a free month HERE, so a fast reader can go through the whole series for nothing. But… the authors still get paid. Win! Now if you can’t do this, there’s still one more chance…

What is the name of Dengar’s space ship? … …
Third: So you lost the giveaway, can’t or won’t do Kindle Unlimited but still want a free copy. Tell you what, if you see me around in the real world and challenge me in a Star Wars trivia contest (EU treated as canon, all the new Disney books don’t count as anything), I’ll agree. Winner gets a signed copy of Galactic Outlaws.

Want to be a Writer? Watch this Video.
My partner over at the Galaxy’s Edge Project, Nick Cole, took a couple of hours out of his day to give a clinic on writing. It’s seriously good stuff, and you’ll regret it if you end up learning some of the lessons he lays out the hard way. Trust me.
This is the writer video you need to watch. Nick should be charging for this.
I was fortunate enough to be mentored by Nick very early in my career. My debut benefited strongly from that and it still sells today. If you want to read it…here’s you chance. I make it free to everyone who signs up as one of my email pals.

Washington: A Life – What I listened to to Start the Year
For the first forty or so days of 2017, I listened to a fantastic biography of George Washington. I typically listen to books for an hour each work day during my commute. This one is forty-one hours long, but it’s worth the investment of time!
The narrator, Scott Brick, has the perfect voice for reading history or biography. He isn’t overly emotive, a good thing for this category, but he’s compelling and adds weight to everything.
Ron Chernow gives a clear portrait of General Washington from his early years through his death. Our first President was an amazing human being. His self-discipline, charity, ethics, and ambition were astounding. Reading this book, I can’t help but feel that were it not for Washington’s providential placement in history, the United States would have fractured and gone down as a failed experiment. And yet, the research is careful not to create a false god out of Washington. His blindness, even double-mindedness, about slavery is detailed, but thankfully without contemporary screeds. History is reported and explained without seeking to make points about any modern agenda. This is how I prefer it.
I found myself a little saddened when the book came to a close. It’s definitely one that I’ll listen to again some day.

Sneak Preview: Galaxy’s Edge Cover Design
When you’re writing StarWarsNotStarWars, what better place to get artists than the world of video games? Scott Flanders is a conceptual artist that is working on a top-secret project with my writing partner, Nick Cole. He sent us some preliminary Galaxy’s Edge: Galactic Outlaws designs the night before last.
I was blown away when I saw these, excitedly showing them to my wife as she sighed, “My husband is a huge nerd.”
