Galaxy’s Edge Part IV

Galaxy’s Edge, Part IV contains Turning Point through to the end of Message for the Dead.

Fight to win. Survive the future.

With the galaxy in turmoil, the Legion initiates Article Nineteen, a hard reset designed to halt the corruption and ineptitude that continues to spill forth from the Galactic Core. But when the House of Reason aligns itself with the bloodthirsty zhee extremists, the Legion has no choice but to commit to a savage campaign of Total War.

As Legion Commander Keller attempts to coax the Republic and Black Fleet into a winner-take-all battle at the heart of the Galactic Core, Wraith uncovers secrets from Tyrus Rechs’s past. Determined to liberate his crew from the clutches of a dormant fleet controlled by a hostile AI, the soldier-turned-rogue comes face to face with the galaxy’s greatest threat.

Meanwhile, Captain Chhun and Victory Squad follow intelligence that could land a powerful blow against Goth Sullus and his fledgling empire, and Exo and Wraith, in an tenuous alliance, move toward a slumbering fleet that could permanently alter the delicate balance of power among Legion, Republic, and Empire – or could just as easily eradicate the galaxy altogether.

Chhun and Kill Team Victory find themselves taking on new roles inside the Legion, and the fight for control of the Galactic Republic hits its zenith with the arrival of the malevolent Cybar.

The fourth installment of the audio book features two of the most visceral, gut-wrenching and combat-focused books in all of Season One. It all leads up to Retribution, which is coming in April!

Retribution

Book 9 brings the end.

Victory is at hand.

With the galaxy in tatters, Chhun and Wraith lead Kill Team Victory and the remnants of the Legion in a clandestine final effort to bring about Article Nineteen. It’s needed now more than ever as the Republic’s new emperor, Goth Sullus, grows increasingly enigmatic and tyrannical in his rule, leaving some to question their roles in bringing the mysterious leader of the Black Fleet to power.

Meanwhile, a dark traveler finds Prisma Maydoon at the sanctuary of Mother Ree, and bids her to depart from the path of the Ancients.

Experience the exciting conclusion of Galaxy’s Edge Season One, as a desperate, daring raid on Utopion itself leaves Kill Team Victory torn between duty to the Legion and the need to make those responsible for its demise finally pay!

Retribution is the culmination of everything that began in Legionnaire. I’m excited to see this story arc complete and hope readers enjoy seeing all those little loose ends tied up.

’til Death is an Audiobook!

Narration by the award-winning Johnny Heller

The first book I ever wrote was a little ditty called ’til Death. It was literary fiction

… with ghosts.

It did pretty well for a debut release. And it served as a confidence builder for the time when I’d eventually release what’s now know as Legionnaire.

And now you can listen to it on your commute!

This book is sure to brighten your day. It’s funny but not cynical, sweet but not sappy. Most of my readers are fans of military science fiction. Lots of them have trigger time. And they continually write me to tell me that 1) a book like ’til Death is way out of their usual comfort zone and 2) that they loved it.

’til Death is available now! Click on the cover and you’ll go straight to amazon to pick up the latest copy (affiliate link).

A laugh-out-loud communist-punching adventure!

Sam Rockwell came home from the Second World War to work as a fledgling private investigator specializing in helping “Returns”: recently deceased ghosts who’ve come back with unfinished business. Short on experience and long on the imitated swagger of the detectives found in his dog-eared collection of pulp fiction P.I. mysteries, the quick-witted Sam waits for his big break—and his chance to win the heart of Amelia, his Girl Friday.

But when his no-nonsense father is murdered and becomes a Return himself, everything changes. Sam sets out to find his father’s killer, only to find himself caught up in a madcap game of Cold War intrigue.

Humorous and hard-boiled, ’til Death is a witty, feel-good throwback to the golden age of Hollywood noir.

New Release: Order of the Centurion

I’m really excited about the latest Galaxy’s Edge book because I was able to go back and tell another story like Legionnaire to kick off a whole new series.

Order of the Cenution Cover

The Galaxy’s Edge equivalent to the Medal of Honor.

If you’ve read the main Galaxy’s Edge series, you know that a lot is made out of the Order of the Centurion. It’s not just given out to just anybody (most of the time, *cough* Points *cough*).

So what if we started a series of stand-alones that each told the story about a time the Order of the Centurion was awarded?

And what if it was written with some seriously talented sci-fi writers like Jonathan Yanez, Richard Fox, Josh Hayes, Scott Moon, & J.R. Handley?

The answer became Order of the Centurion.

The Order of the Centurion Medal

I hope you’ll enjoy it. And if you liked Legionnaire, this is right up your line of fire.

From the book description:

A PRICE PAID IN BLOOD

“The Order of the Centurion is the highest award that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in, or with, the Legion. When such an individual displays exceptional valor in action against an enemy force, and uncommon loyalty and devotion to the Legion and its legionnaires, refusing to abandon post, mission, or brothers, even unto death, the Legion dutifully recognizes such courage with this award.”

Tired of sitting out the war on Psydon in a mobile office hab, Legion Lieutenant Washam agrees to undertake a covert and unsanctioned mission with a band of Republic Recon Marines. Inserted deep behind enemy lines, the strike force uncovers a surprise key to ending a bitter war. Now they must navigate a hostile jungle teeming with murderous alien rebels, pushing themselves to the limits of their abilities, to get this vital intel to Legion Command–if they can survive that long.

THE ORDER OF THE CENTURION is an all-new series of stand-alone military science fiction thrillers set in the GALAXY’S EDGE universe, ranging from the Savage Wars to the arrival of the Black Fleet. Each book features the legendary heroes of the Legion who forgot nothing in their earning of the Legion’s highest honor.

New Release: Requiem for Medusa

An all-new series set in Galaxy’s Edge and featuring Tyrus Rechs!

My latest release, co-authored with Nick Cole, is here and readers are loving it.

Requiem for Medusa by Jason Anspach & Nick Cole is a blockbuster summer thrill-ride sure to leave you wanting more from the notorious bounty hunter, Tyrus Rechs!

It’s not just payback… it’s personal.

The scum hiding deep inside the Reach out along galaxy’s edge thought they could kill her and not pay the price. For years these hardened killers have run roughshod over the lawless worlds where Republic justice is never as fast as the blaster in your hand and where double-crosses and death are a part of every deal. They thought this time would be no different.

They were wrong.

This time, the Guild sent the legendary bounty hunter Tyrus Rechs.

As the infamous Rechs pursues the men who murdered his colleague, he’s hell-bent on justice, heedless of the trail of destruction he leaves across ruined worlds and fantastic gambling meccas alike. Because for Rechs, this isn’t just another Guild contract… it’s personal.

A New Book for Superhero Super fans

Collateral Damage: A Superhero Anthology featuring a foreword written by me!

I was honored to be asked to write the foreword (not to be confused with a forward) to Steve Beaulieu’s latest entry into what’s become a bedrock anthology series for those who enjoy super heroes, regular heroes, superpowers (and, I guess, villains).

If you’re a fan of comics, give this book a try. You’re not going to beat the price of one dollar minus one penny. The last time I bought a comic it cost five times that much and delivered a whole lot less.

From the description:

Have we ever needed caped crusaders more than today?

Thirteen wildly talented authors join forces to bring you never-before published tales of Superheroes doing what they do—saving the world.

Live vicariously through the Supers of today in the all original series Superheroes and Vile Villains.

Defy the Guild with the lovable, but arrogant Baron Steel, discover what it would be like if a super-powered man played baseball in Will Swardstrom’s Pastime, experience a man out of time, in both senses of the word in Chris Kallias’ Out of Time, and so much more.

More stories than you could shake a radioactive cat at for less than the price of one!
