The Power of Intuition
Human beings have one very powerful tool at our disposal to help us better understand the processes of the Universe – our intuition. Unlocking the power of our intuition makes daily life as a human being much easier to navigate and gives us a greater depth of understanding of our connection with each other and the world around us.
We all have the spark of intuition, it’s just a matter of whether or not we choose to ignite it and allow its flames to rise up and burn brightly.
We were all put here on this planet to live our lives in the best way we know how. Given the vast array of personality types and influence of nature and nurture, we can expect to encounter many extremes and sets of circumstance that affect our lives and everything around us, including the activity of the planet itself and the rest of the Universe beyond.
Each person’s intuition is uniquely adapted to suit them and once they learn to recognise and harness it, it can become one of their greatest assets. Intuitive development does not have to be a full-blown spiritual experience if that is not comfortable for a particular person. Intuition is a sense in addition to our five physical senses which has the potential to become just as familiar and functional as being able to see or hear. Connecting with our intuition can enrich our lives in many ways.
Intuition is our internal barometer and guide; it shows us the truth. Intuition points us in the right direction, guides us towards our soul purpose and keeps us safe, whenever it can. It helps us to discern truth and make decisions. Intuition can come through to our conscious awareness in many forms. It may be a voice, images, feelings, sensations or communicate with us in our dreams.
Sometimes, our intuition screams at us but we often ignore it! Our logical mind has a habit of attempting to override it by saying ‘oh, it’ll be all right’ and, when we listen to that instead, we often discover that our intuition was right all along and we should never have doubted it. Fortunately, once we learn to recognise our intuition speaking to us, we can get a better feel for things and make wiser decisions.
We all have awareness of our physical senses, bodies and what is going on around us in the physical world but not all of us are aware of the intuitive feelings, sensations and information available beyond this. All of us receive information from higher vibrational sources, often on a subconscious level before it is processed and brought to the attention of our consciousness. Some of us have a greatly enhanced awareness of these processes but others are unaware of the source of this information and only respond to it on a subconscious level.
Some people with a higher level of conscious awareness thrive on it and embrace it whereas others find it overwhelming and scary, wishing it would go away and leave them alone. Knowing certain things that you feel you could not possibly know on a logical level can cause fear and unease, especially when it is a prediction about future events that turn out to be unpleasant. It’s not all bad news though and there are many joys to being intuitive and sensitive. It can be a true blessing once we understand how to welcome and utilise our abilities in everyday life to help ourselves and others.
'Weird Is Wonderful' explores the power of intuition and how we can enhance this amazing ability to become stronger and more confident from within.
