Caviar and Insurrection with President Putin

An economic hit man’s fantastical imagining of a conversation between his humble house cat and one of President Putin’s “saved” leopards as they discussed the Jan. 6 Washington insurrection.

By John Perkins

“We were crawling around the floor of the Kremlin lapping up the world’s best caviar. It was everywhere. Also, lots of spilled vodka and Champagne. I don’t like those. But the caviar. Yum! Old Man Putin was the happiest I’ve ever seen him.”

That’s what Leo told Jaggy in a rece...

The Gift I’m Giving This Holiday

By John Perkins

Here is a gift I’m giving and strongly recommend as one the recipient will benefit from and never forget – and which promotes social justice and environmental sustainability.

Since the 1970s I’ve lived and studied with Mayan spiritual teachers and shamans. I ‘ve taken groups to learn from them over many years, including in January 2020. These are deeply transformational experiences.

COVID-19 has hit us all, including these communities, in a major way. Since we are unable to take...

Presidential Power (And Yours) – Words

In our personal ambitions we are individuals. But in our seeking for economic and political progress as a nation, we all go up or else all go down as one people.

To some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny.

– President Franklin D. Roosevelt

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step...

A Journey to the Sacred Lands of the Maya, January 2021 With John Perkins and Mayan Shamans

I am so excited! The trip I guide to the Mayan shamans and sacred sites of Guatemala is ON: January 15-22, 2021. It will be an incredible experience, the perfect way to recover from the exhaustion we all experience around COVID, elections, the economy, winter, etc.

As a participant, you will experience a magical opportunity to explore the next phase of life – your own and that of our planet.

I’ve been studying and working with Mayan shamans since the 1970s and taking small groups of people to s...

Yes, There Is A Deep State. But Trump’s Got It Wrong!

The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!

President Trump Tweet, Aug 22, 2020

There is no doubt that the U.S. has what many refer to as “a permanent government” – people who run the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, NSA, NHS, CDC, FDA, and other powerful institutions. This seems to be w...

King of the Mountain: China vs the US

The United States has been praised as the world leader and unifier for seventy years. During World War II, the US performed a miracle by rapidly building a military that helped end the war and then showed compassion and foresight by spearheading reconstruction of its war-torn former enemies, as well as its allies. That leadership role continued for the next seven decades.

As a former economic hit man (EHM), I am only too aware of the dark side of US foreign policy. However, I am also awa...

Taxes or Investments?

Touching the Jaguar is about changing reality by altering our perceptions. In addition to the personal actions that each of us can take to make our individual lives better, the book dives into the roles we can play to transform a failing Death Economy into a successful Life Economy. Included are lists of the characteristics of both systems. I would like to focus on just one aspect that differentiates these two economic forms. Taxation.

From the book:

Key Characteristics of the Death Economy:

The Jaguar Leaps into Action!

By John Perkins

An inherently fascinating and deeply personal story that is as informed and informative as it is thoughtful and thought-provoking, Touching the Jaguar: Transforming Fear into Action to Change Your Life and the World is an extraordinary contribution to our on-going national dialogue and an especially recommended addition to community and academic library collections. It should be noted for the personal reading lists of students, academia, environmentalists, social/political a...

In Times of Crises

I just returned from lecturing at Tilton School, the NH school I attended as a student during my high school years and where my dad taught for nearly four decades. Being there now, talking with students and teachers, gave me a new perspective on the problems we face: climate change, US politics, international relations, gender issues, global poverty, and many more. I also was reminded that at Tilton I received an education that opened me to critical thinking, and I saw that the school contin...
