Spinning plates on sticks
Just an update to let you know I am working on several new ideas for self-help projects.
I often get asked, "How do you know what your next project will be?" Well, it's rather like spinning plates on sticks, whichever project reaches critical mass is the one I apply the most creativity to, rather like the plate that is just about to fall off the stick, this is the one that deserves the most attention, otherwise it will stall and fall.
I feel that everything I am working on is sacred, there is so much to do and before we know it, time runs out. As is the case in everyday life. We all plan to do this and that and before we know it ... bedtime looms upon us. I must admit, am lucky as I only need a three to four hour sleep time.
Whereas many need the usual eight hours of sleep, I can actually recharge when just sitting. When tiredness hits me, though, it bowls me over for six. That's when I know it's time to have a chakra clearout and recharge, a quick ten minutes and I am buzzing with energy again.
One of the projects I am working on is on a better understanding of auditory processing disorders (APD). In its very broadest sense, APD refers to how the central nervous system (CNS) uses auditory information.
Some persons have difficulty in listening situations, but they have no evidence of hearing loss. What happens is that problems are, at times, related to localizing sounds, listening in the presence of background noise, or clearly understanding words or combinations of words. Sort of like, "I hear you talking, but can't understand a word of it!"
It's a subject close to my heart as I have experienced some of this for a number of years. I went for a hearing test and was told that I must have a portrait of me in some attic that is ageing, as my hearing is perfect.
So that's one project in the pipeline, and about half a dozen others ... all spinning on metaphorical sticks.
