Love Letter

Why should we read the Bible every day?

Because it gives us LIFE!

No matter what you’re facing or feeling, God’s Word is the best place to turn. It’s basically the longest love letter ever written — with you in mind! It’s living, it’s active, and it’s made just for you. It would be a shame to waste such a precious gift.❤

Pursue It

Being an author, artist, or entrepreneur of any kind is a lot like wearing your heart on your sleeve. You pour yourself into a product, devoting endless time and energy to making it perfect, then you bravely put yourself out there for all to see. It’s exciting and wonderful, but also terrifying. It’s hard not to feel personally rejected when people show no interest in what you’ve worked so hard to create. It’s hard not to get your hopes up too high, and even harder to have them dashed to the ground.

But you can’t ever give up. If God placed a passion or dream in your heart, it would be wrong not to pursue it. Whether you reach a million people or only one, you must answer the call. Your gift is needed and God will use it exactly how He plans. Success isn’t measured in numbers, as important as those numbers may feel. Success is doing what God calls you to, regardless of the outcome.

Keep dreaming, keep working, keep pursuing. Your gift is important!

End the Cycle

You can't control other people's actions, but you can control your reactions. When someone hurts you, you can continue the cycle by hurting them back. Or you can rise above it, be better, end the cycle. You can walk around hurting others because you've been hurt. Or you can refuse to let the pain cripple you. You can make an active choice to be different than what's been done to you. You can decide to spread kindness and positivity, even if you're treated poorly. You can't control anybody else. But you alone can decide what YOU do. End the cycles, break the chains, be the difference.

Someone Who Loves

Find someone who sticks by you through thick and thin. Someone who loves you constantly, even when you don't deserve it. Someone who compliments you at your worst and sees the best in you. Find someone who makes you laugh, even when things are falling apart. Someone who acts silly with you when no one is looking. Someone who winks at you in a room full of people. Someone who builds you up, even when you're not there to hear it. Find someone who isn't perfect, but always tries to be better. Someone who works hard, but also plays hard. Someone who invests in you and encourages you. Someone who dreams about the future and aims to achieve their goals. Someone who loves you more than life, and loves Jesus even more. And if you have that person already, make sure they know how much they mean to you.❤

Love God, Love Others

Raise your hand if you love God🙋🏼‍♀️

Raise your hand if you love others🙋🏼‍♀️

Raise your hand if you think the two go hand in hand🙋🏼‍♀️

I hope you're all raising your hands😉

Unfortunately, there seems to be a disconnect between those things. We love God, but we leave it up to Him to love others. We're too busy, too superior, too scared...whatever excuse we can find. Loving others isn't a priority in our lives, even though we know God calls us to do it. In fact, the two greatest commandments are to love God and to love others.

And loving others is actually an extension of our love for God. Treating His children with kindness is a way of honoring and worshiping Him. He delights in His people when they unite and hold each other up. He created us to help each other through life, not make it harder on each other. Love is not an option; it is a command.

Love God, love others.

People Are Gifts

Why do we treat our blessings as burdens? Why are we so quick to get annoyed or frustrated with the people closest to us? Why are the people we love the most, often the ones we treat the worst? Maybe it's because we give so much of ourselves to them, or maybe it's because we know they still love us at our worst. Whatever the reason, the truth is that people are our greatest gifts from the Lord.

I want to do my best to look at them through my Father's eyes, giving them all the love He so freely gives to me. They're not perfect, but neither am I. Unconditional love doesn't have strings attached, nor does it ever get tired. Lord, make me an instrument of your love.

Trust the Pilot

When you travel by plane, you have complete faith in the pilot. You don't stand over his shoulder and tell him how to do his job; you sit back and trust him to get you where you're going. You believe that he knows what he's doing, and you don't worry about his plan.

God is the Pilot of our lives, yet so often we fail to fully trust Him. We tell Him how to do His job, like we know better than He does. We worry that He doesn't have it figured out, and our faith is often lackluster at best.
But life would be so much easier if we would sit back and trust Him to get us where we're going. If we would have faith in His ability to do His job and trust in His plan.

He never promised a smooth ride, nor does He save us from hitting turbulence every now and then. But He does provide a safe landing in the Promised Land. He will deliver us, but we have to give Him control. Otherwise, the plane will eventually crash.

Life is a journey we can't make on our own. Through the ups and downs, twists and turns, fears and failures, the Pilot is in control. He knows the way to our destination. It's not our job to try and fly the plane. Our job is to make the most of the flight.

Nobody's Perfect

Being a Christian doesn't make you better than anybody else, and it doesn't give you a license to judge. There has only ever been one perfect person. The saddest thing in the world is when Christians push people away from Him. Your faith shouldn't be a weapon used to condemn; it should be an open invitation to God's love. Show people who He is by being LIKE HIM. But don't fool yourself into thinking you're perfect. Everybody messes up and everybody needs forgiveness, but everybody is welcome at the table.
