The Prophet’s Secret Press Release
CRIME, SUSPENSE FILLS NEW BRAUNFELS AUTHOR’S THRILLING, NEW CHRISTIAN NOVEL
July 5, 2016 Norie Libradilla
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — This week marks the nationwide release of author Ron Clark’s new Christian novel, “The Prophet’s Secret.”
“The Prophet’s Secret” tells the story of Josh Winslow, a former Marine Corp sniper and currently a police detective who finds himself pulled into the cauldron of religious hatred and the politics of “One World Government” because of a secret letter written by the Prophet Jeremiah. His best friend and Bible teacher, Dr. Caleb O’Connor, is determined to follow the clues in the letter to find The Prophet’s Secret — the treasured implements of the ancient Jewish Temple.
The secretary general of the United Nations is seeking Dr. O’Connor’s total destruction along with the Temple artifacts. His most effective tool is a Jihadist, currently posing as Dr. O’Connor’s student assistant who has dreams of a world ruled by Sharia Law. Finding these implements may well open the floodgates for Jews from around the world to return to their homeland, Israel.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at http://www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Clark is a retired pharmacist. He and his wife, Kitty, now live in New Braunfels, TX. Together, they have a passion to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have three children and five grandchildren.

Biblical Faith vs Secularism
The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights recently issued a new report detailing the it’s desired position of religious liberty in the United States. Numerous legal decisions by the Supreme Court were quoted and applied to the social application of religion, some cases overstepping religion liberty and others social claims being ridiculous. No doubt, religion has often been used by groups claiming Christian faith to institute abominable practices such as serration. However, on occasion secular groups wanted to deny religious organizations their right to limit membership to people of the same belief. (Why would someone who believes differently want to be a member to such a group?)
After all the discussion, the commission made the following statement:
COMMISSIONERS’ STATEMENTS AND REBUTTALS
Chairman Martin R. Castro Statement
“The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian
religion.” —JohnAdams
The phrases “religious liberty” and “religious freedom” will stand for nothing except hypocrisy so long as they remain code words for discrimination, intolerance, racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, Christian supremacy or any form of intolerance.
John Adams was correct as far a government is concerned, however, the principles established by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are fundamentally Christian. “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” certainly are not rights bestowed the individual in Sharia Law.
I, for one, do not want any particular ‘religion’ to judge our laws or regulations in the U.S. and secular forces should also be held in check by the recognition of basic moral beliefs of right and wrong. Quite frankly, if there is no supreme power of creation, there is no moral right or wrong. There is only what is most popular by judgement of the national community. That is no way to live. What is held to be moral right and legal today can change tomorrow by a popular vote.
Where does that leave this great experiment in democracy upon which this nation was founded? According to Hillary Clinton, Christians must change their fundamental beliefs that should be taken directly from the Bible. Specifically, Christianity is the one source of salvation, homosexuality is a sin, abortion is a sin as adultery, etc. are immutable as they are recorded as being addressed by the forty authors of the Bible. Christians can not more change their fundamental beliefs than they can grow extra arms or heads.
Should ‘fundamentalist’ Christians be afraid by the developments? Absolutely not! If someone like Hillary Clinton is elected to be president and she is able to institute outright discrimination and persecution of Christian believers, the church in America will prosper and expand like never before. China has seen a Christian expansion beyond belief where it is illegal. “Upon this rock I will establish my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.” That’s a promise and a prophet wrapped up in one from the source of our faith, Jesus Christ.
Bible believing Christians should vote their conscience and no matter who wins, live accordance to the teachings of Jesus.

Campaign Manners
Like most people, I have been watching the presidential campaign with interest ,and sometimes horror. The extent to which some people will go to support their candidate or trash the one they oppose is astounding.
Talking heads on the major news programs ridiculously defend Hillary at every turn no matter how obvious the lie happens to be. Fox News goes both ways, sometimes supporting Trump, other times trashing him. The actual governing issues are totally ignored in every instance.
Individuals are no better. My wife and I attended the Trump rally in Austin, TX where we saw the Chairman of the Travis County Republican Committee dressed as a jester holding a sign accusing Trump of being a pedophile. Guess who got the most attention from local reporters. That’s right, the jester. Such ugliness and the press couldn’t get enough.
Supporters from both sides being physically attacked, the latest being a 90 year old woman who supports Hillary. She states she was punched by a Trump supporter. True or false. We’ll eventually find out.
The anger and hostility engendered in this election year is despicable. Arguably, perhaps, I see a lot more hatred on the liberal side than I see on the conservative and many more hateful accusations coming out of the left. Disagree if you will, it’s just what I perceive. In any political discussion I have, I try to keep it at a coherent discussion rather than a name calling event in the hopes of decreasing the anger at least by one individual.
I make this one request from any reader, please discuss rather than screaming. Stop the name calling and the insults. Look at the issues including the health of the candidates and take it all into honest consideration.
I know God is watching and is very disappointed in America, including me. Let’s vote for quality of leadership instead of race, gender, which candidate can create the most distrust of the other.
Good manners toward each other would go a long way.

Vacation Thoughts
We traveled to Houston on Saturday to attend the Texan’s opening day game and later the Texas Rangers vs the Houston Astros. Living in New Braunfels we talk about times that the traffic is bad, but Houston traffic is a whole other story. You better be alert at all times or you will be run over.
Because the Texan game was held on 9-11, there was a special opening ceremony to honor the military, police, and first responders. To my great pleasure, I did not see a single protestor or demonstration of disrespect. I will defend free speech with total commitment, but I am of the firm opinion that the individuals protesting in the NFL are choosing the wrong venue to do so. You are a paid employee of the team and should limit these actions to personal appearances and the times when each of these individuals participate in activities to improve conditions in the areas where they suppose these travesties take place.
I couldn’t help myself. I had to shake the hand of every soldier, police or first responder that crossed my path. I know that there are bad personalities in these jobs just as there are in the profession of pharmacy. That should not cause total disrespect for all of these brave men and women. Help them weed out the bad ones and promote the good ones.
God bless them all!
