March Madness.

My son said something the other day that has stuck with me all week. He said, "I don't want to follow those footsteps, I want to make my own, that way other people can follow me." For context, my son is four, and there was a freak snow storm, but still, it was one of the most profound things I'd ever heard.

Editing Tides has taken me on a roller coaster of emotions and March has been every bit maddening as one could expect when you're under deadline and surviving on coffee and instincts. I want to make my own.

This business is brutal, and there's a million and one things to remember. A million and one trends to follow, or tropes to write, and it's easy to lose sight of the main objective - tell a story that makes people feel things. I hope I did with Tides.

I can't wait for you guys to meet CT & Kensie.

Laters Baby

February has been a crazy month. I released Anarchy and the response to Damien and Simone has been incredible. I feel like this has been my smoothest release to date. I have learned so much in the 6 months since I started self-publishing and I love you guys for allowing me the space to explore original characters, and out there plotlines. It means more than you know.

Another BIG thing that happened in February was the premiere of Fifty Shades Freed! I loved it. Like the other movies, they are far from perfect, but Ana and Christian have meant so much to me over the last five years, it's amazing to see their story unfold on the big screen.

Also, Shipwrecked got a makeover! I love the story, it's a perfect, easy read, something to lose yourself in while you wait at the DMV or if you're between reads, but I felt like the cover and blurb held it back from reaching it's full potential, so I gave it a makeover, and I think it fits more in it's genre now. Which, admittedly, is porn. I gave it a porny cover.

Okay, enough of my rambling, heading back into the editing cave to finish up Tides! I'll have a blurb and a release date for you in next months newsletter.
