Before I start in with the Friday Flash Fiction (F3), let me give you the inspiration.

Recently, I relocated to central Florida. Cool, right?  Now I’m close to family and I may actually experience something close to seasons. Yay!

In the past, I’d heard of “Legoland”. In my mind, it was all about rooms FILLED with legos. Filled.  I could pay to go in and play with the little plastic pieces and build things and do all kinds of “I wish I was five again” fun.  Like, OMGAwesome!  (You can “see” my smile, right?)

*ahem* Now, I’ve moved, right? So, now I’m near a Legoland.  Can I get a boo-yeah?!

BUUUUTTTT… Legoland is NOT a place filled with inter-locking plastic pieces that I can turn into an awesome castle. No!  It is a water park/amusement park.  I know, I know… Surprising, right?

So, this is my 100 word ode to what was lost, yet never existed.  *sniffle*

Title: I Haz a Sad

I’m bouncing on my toes, heart pounding and lips split in a smile so wide I wonder if I’ll ever be able to stop. Because…Legoland! But, I’m standing in line with everyone else. Except, they’re under ten. Whatever. I snag a map from a stand nearby, the bright colors calling to me, screaming “Legoland!”. I do a Legoland happy dance, shake my ass, bop my head and flip open the map. It’s time to plan. The line’s long, so I’ve got the time.

And then the world ends. There are no legos in Legoland. Just rides.

I haz a sad.
