100 Years Since the Destruction of Black Wall Street

100 years ago, Black Wall Street in Greenwood, Tulsa, OK featured Black/African American doctors, lawyers, millionaires, entrepreneurs and more. This film by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) concentrates on Tulsa BEFORE the destruction of Black Wall Street in 1921.

Many other Black towns were also destroyed by white supremacists. Could this hapen again? And, if so, what can we do to prevent it?

Black History Treasures/Quotes

Michelle Obama As it is Black History Month here in the UK, I am sharing Black history quotes.

Here are just a few:

Nelson Mandela: No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate.
https://transformyourlife-zhana21.blo...

Harriet Tubman: Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Geniuses of Transformation: Wisdom from Harriet Tubman.

Harriet Tubman: Don’t ever stop. Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going.

Iyanla Vanzant: If you really want to live your life to the fullest and realize your greatest potential, you must be willing to run the risk of making some people mad. People may not like what you do, people may not like how you do it, but these people are not living your life. You are!

Michelle Obama: You can't make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen.

Michelle Obama: Do we settle for the world as it is, or do we work for the world as it should be?
