You asked and here are the answers.
I met my husband at UC Davis at auditions for a play. He does share my sense of humor.
My favorite genre is western. The easiest genre to write is fantasy.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:34. If only I could live by it better.
If I could invite anyone to a dinner party it would be: Abraham Lincoln, Ben Franklin, Zane Grey and Tommy Lee Jones

I’ve got a lot of things written down on my “Life To Do List”.
Here are just a few:
Go dogsledding and see the Northern Lights
Become a member of Club 33 at Disneyland
Take my husband and my mother hot air ballooning
Learn to speak French
Learn how to Tahitian dance
Tell me what one of the things on your bucket list is. I’ll pick one winner for a prize.

Here’s an interesting artifact. This is the original cover design for the US release of Unleashed. The cover was changed before the book was released.
Festival Hour 37 – It’s Hard to Keep This Up!

Writing is hard in general. It takes a lot of discipline, focus, patience, etc., etc. How many words do you think I’ve written in my lifetime? I don’t know the actual answer, but I have a number that I think is pretty close. Closest one to that number wins a Doctor Who TARDIS pen (one of my favorites!)

I do. That’s why I’m eating some right now. Be the first to guess one of my three favorite flavors of ice cream and win…ice cream! A gift certificate at least.

I can’t help it, these crack me up. Sometimes I forget about all the crazy stuff in my life and this is a good reminder. Okay, prize to someone who can guess which one of the following is NOT true.
1. Screamed so loudly in a play that I scared the audience and my costars.
2. Slept in a coffin for the full vampire experience much to the amusement/horror of my friends.
3. Dressed up like the character from the Werewolf TV show to serve a “Fall Festival” meal to my parent’s Sunday School group complete with ripped clothes, fake fur, and a bloody looking pentagram on my palm.
4. Have warned a track director at Dragon*Con that if anyone disagrees with me about the magnificence of the new Lone Ranger movie while I’m speaking on the Lone Ranger panel that I will throw the first punch in an effort to start a good old-fashioned Western barroom brawl.
5. Have been bitten by a cat, a rat, and a bat in that order.
Festival Hour 15 – Poetry on a Dare

If you’ve read enough of my books then you’ve probably gotten the idea that I like poetry. The first thing of mine that was ever published was a poem. These days a dear friend of mine and I do poetry on a dare. We either take the same word and write a poem or give each other a word and write a poem in a day or two then share it with each other. It’s fun and I thought I’d share one of my creations with you.
Cogs Interconnected
Poetry on a Dare #5
By Debbie Viguié
Round we go
Grinding, turning, churning…
Where we stop?
Interconnected
Or is it? A touch
Does it mean that?
Depends on time, timing, rhyme…
When we stop?
Interconnected
Or are we? A kiss
Does it move us?
Metal caresses metal
How we stop?
Interconnected
Why aren’t we? A word
Do we dare that?
Cogs touching, loving, winding
Why we stop?
Interconnected
Why aren’t we?
Interconnected
When all we are
Interconnected
Festival Hour 14 – “True Facts”

When I was a teenager I heard a funny bit on a radio station I was listening to that they would do every so often. They called it “National Lampoon’s True Facts”. Whatever followed was sure to be outlandish, outrageous, and totally not true. So, here’s some true facts from my life and your challenge is to figure out which one is NOT true. Winner will get…I don’t know…something cool. Here we go:
1. I heard that radio bit “National Lampoon’s True Facts” while listening to the radio because I was waiting for updates on the hurricane that I was stuck in the middle of that was followed immediately by a tropical storm.
2. I slept through a storm where fireballs raced along the ceiling of my grass hut.
3. I traveled somewhere as a teenager where people wanted to touch me because they had never seen an American teenager.
4. I’ve been threatened by a man with a machine gun.
5. I tripped while going up the stairs onto the stage of Ballroom 20 at Comic Con and the entire audience saw my underwear.
