The second part of the Obsessed Intentions series was released today. If you preordered the first two editions bundled together, they shipped yesterday. You can now order the Kindle edition from Amazon, and the hardcover from bookshops around the world. For the best specials, visit Lee’s Novels and Books right here on this website.

The specials celebrating this release continue through September, so be sure to check out the free shipping deals and the bundle mentioned above. Although there have been some bumps along the way, the shop is now shipping all orders efficiently after a minor hiccup. We’ll soon be offering faster shipping methods, but to keep your costs down, we’ve decided to use media mail for the time being. It takes a little longer but significantly reduces costs.

While I’m no longer completely focused on a release or setting up an online shop, I’ve begun preparing for my next novel. In fact, I’ve been working on it off and on for over a year. The Marks Boy’s Rock is a departure from the Obsessed Intentions series (book three will continue the series with a September/October 2025 release). It’s a Christian young adult fantasy coming-of-age story that should be available before Christmas.

I am excited about The Marks Boy’s Rock. This coming-of-age novel will resonate with millions of teens navigating similar paths while also providing entertainment. Like all my novels to date, a part of me is in this story, and it is filled with faith.

Challenging myself and others to strive for better, to seek God more—everyday.

This writing and publishing path God has sent me down has challenged me in ways I could never imagine. But the one thing that remains constant is trying to find my way, God’s way. Then I come to realization that He will lead the way, in His time. That this path is more about growing in relationship with Him than it is selling books.

Most of you have seen it written that I didn’t seek this path, that God brought me along, and now, here I am. While I seek out myriads of ways to successfully market my writings I forget to seek the purpose God has me here in the first place. It wasn’t to drive me crazy, not a long drive by the way, but to share His voice, His ways, to the world, at least those He reveals, through entertaining stories and discussions.

As I was planning this blog last night I saw a segment on the news about faith in America. One of the headlines was that 80% of Americans believe faith has no importance in daily life. I knew that people’s perspectives have radically changed in just a few years, but this nugget overwhelmed me, helping me realize one of the main reasons for Christian fiction and inspirational literature. That following His guidance, we could become purveyors of the truth, the Gospel, in ways the masses could understand, embrace, and seek in their entertainment as well.

The church has let Christians, almost forcing them in these times, find their entertainment the same as the world finds theirs. Often it is the same entertainment, movie, books, social media that the secular world thrives on, mostly with ungodly values, and no redeeming value, except to push the bounds of ungodliness. Television ads that routinely push “drag” shows, movies where the four letter words outnumber the three letter name by a thousand fold. Is it any wonder that today’s culture would make the above statement.

I propose the church work with authors, like me, to begin the transformation back to 80% saying the church is the light, and Christ is the way, everyday. The path always looks lovely—at first.

The journey isn’t always as easy as that first vision, that first inspiration. Some times, most times, we end up in a place that is unlike the vision, changed by the moments of silence, the moments of questioning ourselves. Unable to continue in a direction without a word from God, who hopefully, surely He was, our inspirator.

Speaking to a friend yesterday, I tried to put my expectation, anxiousness, and my impatience into words. I can feel it, but describing it is hard, is it for you too? Most of you don’t know where I am, or what I’ve been doing, or probably not even who I am. Let’s just say I’m a man waiting on God, a God that I trust with my soul. My relationship with Him is always first, but sometimes, like everyone, I forget He’s not my genie in a bottle.

Recently I opened my online shop, Lee’s Books and Novels, to share signed editions and offer special deals on my books and stories to share with the masses what God inspired in me. More than a co-author, He helped me in every faucet of the process. The writing, finding professionals who I could afford that are very good at their craft, and even helping me broaden my capacity by learning how to setup my own website, blog, and much more. Still I’m waiting…

No Forgetting Providence release date is September 3, 2024

My novels are getting great reviews, excuse me, our novels are getting great reviews. Not too long ago I didn’t even want to write, He literally had to force me… minus fifteen degrees and about twenty inches of snow on the ground later, I picked up a laptop and started. I didn’t realize I would be forever on a laptop, cellphone, or praying for His help. How that vision has changed. I went from simply trying to appease the unction in my spirit to writing novels that are getting great reviews. Granted the exposure has been limited.

The waiting is frustrating.

Ah haw. There lies my anxiousness, the expectation. Even though I have great reviews, I advertise, I still come up short on the economic scale. This is the place you have to decide, are you going to continue with the vision, the unction, knowing it is God? Or are you going to pivot, try a new approach. Did God give me that idea? Is that where I’m supposed to go? See… You can get torn if you’re not careful.

The first book I wrote was FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS, which I recently edited with my awesome editor, turning it into more of an inspirational. The book is about prayer. Our prayer platform actually, and how important it is, for us and others. But I’m getting off on a rabbit trail, simply saying, prayer is the key. It some times seems when I ask God for direction or help it appears soon thereafter, for most things. But marketing…. well that’s a different story, or so it would seem. This is where my conversation went yesterday. I know the plan, I’m working the plan, often repeating to myself that the timing is in His hands, which it is. But then my humanity rises.

I realize one of my biggest obstacles is having too much time on my hands to hash things over, and over, and over… That is a problem for quite a few of us, I’m sure, maybe. Suddenly, I notice a pattern. When things become pressing an avenue for escape appears, always. Coming to the intersection, a four way stop, do I continue on, make a u-bie, or go left or right? I stop. I wait. Looking every direction, straining to hear. On the horizon I see something, it’s Him. He’s giving me an unction, another way to improve, and get ready for the coming success.

Ta da. Lee’s Novels and Books will soon begin holding virtual meet and greet discussions with readers and members via Skype, one such recent inspiration. There we’ll be able to discuss new releases, sign some books, and other things God might bring up, getting to connect for scheduled book discussions. Now I’m working in the background to make it all happen. He’s still leading me, I just have to understand and watch, and more news is coming soon. Very soon.

     After placing No Forgetting Providence on NetGalley, for honest reviews, I’ve come to the conclusion that reading No Romancing the Passengers, the first novel in the Obsessed Intentions series, is a must . While No Forgetting Providence is still an excellent stand-alone novel, readers have said it took a little longer to become invested without reading the first novel, so… I will be running a special, price reduction on No Romancing the Passengers at the same time the second book is released. In all fairness to No Forgetting Providence, it is still receiving four stars from those who haven’t read the first book, and that’s a really good review score on Net Galley.

It has been over six months since my last post, and while a lot has happened, it wasn’t until now that I felt compelled to share. Anyone that knows about waiting on God knows that the time between doors opening can be both challenging and an opportunity for growth. My wife, Kathy, and I have enjoyed watching to see what God has in mind, and to a degree I’m going to share with you today all that has happened.

     For those that follow me you know I released my first full length novel, No Romancing the Passengers, back in December last year. The paperback is also now out, having been released on June 4th. While the results aren’t ever what we hope or plan for, God has things behind the scenes and that’s what I’ve been focused on. While working with my editor and graphic designer on my cover and the formatting of the second book in the Obsessed Intentions series, I have noticed so many challenges and obstacles in the way that weren’t there during the first novel.

What does it take?

     No Forgetting Providence is a big step-up in action and pace, and along with that came my own difficulties, not related to the books matter, but the enemies that have risen to slow me down, or maybe, as in times in the past, cause me to stop. But God… isn’t that always the case when we are resolute in completing the tasks He sets before us, He has help me continue on, one step at a time, to overcome all those obstacles. And that includes a black screen this morning.

     So what would be so earth shattering to cause me to write this post? I know that by sharing how God has helped me overcome my difficulties, you can take inspiration that He will also do the same for you, only maybe in a different way. The news I want to share is that my novel, No Forgetting Providence, is coming out on September 3rd, Hardback (two versions), and Amazon Kindle. The paperback will follow six months later on March 4, 2025.

     But most importantly, I’m opening my own online book shop. So now I’ll be signing copies of the hardcover, you can begin preordering on July 20th, limited quantity so get your order in soon after. The novel will ship September 2nd, with a special bonus bookmark included. More exciting details and news will be online at that time.

     Beginning August 1, my other books, including No Romancing the Passengers, in all versions, except Kindle (a link is provided), will be available on my website, along with specially printed and laminated bookmarks for sale. These are available only on www.leewimmer.net/shop (you can use the menu to reach the shop from any page). That’s beginning on July 20, 2024. No product will ship until 8/1/2024.
