Carrie is a Louisiana born, Texas transplant and recent North Carolina resident. She earned her BA in English from East Texas Baptist University where she met and fell in love at first sight with her hunky husband, Jeffrey Craig Cotten.

When Carrie isn't writing, you can find her cuddling a chicken, petting a pig or snuggling a sheep on their small family farm. She loves the freedom they've found in homeschooling and the unlimited opportunities to explore the mountains. Camping, farming, and

"Captivating book!

I highly recommend this action-packed Christian romance!
I’ll be honest and tell you it took me a minute to get into and figure out what was going on, but once I stuck around the plot twists and suspense never stopped! This is just a" Read more of this review »

"These books have been so wonderful I haven't wanted them to end. They are a little intense on the violence so I would recommend them to an older audience but wow.

"I loved the characters!

I loved this series and the story of this final book might have been my favorite. Lots of action, heartfelt character development and I love that while there was romance, it was clean and faith-based! " Read more of this review »
The Valkyrie by Carrie Cotten
"Usually, in a series, the first book is the best and it’s downhill from there. Not so in Carrie’s The Huntress series! Each book is so unique, introducing you to a world & story uniquely its own that, in a way, it could almost stand on its own. And i" Read more of this review »

“Grace. That word was life. It was light and hope and all things good. With a painful cry, my hand fell. He is greater, His grace is greater.”
Carrie Cotten, Dark of Night

“We do not receive love and forgiveness because we deserve them but because they are a gift we are in desperate need of.”
Carrie Cotten, The Raven

“My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee; thy right hand upholdeth me. But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth…”
