Are you someone who writes at night? Or in the morning?

I get great ideas overnight, so I keep a notebook next to my bed, to write down the ideas which tranform into an incomprehensible scrawl by the light of day.

I love doing my actual writing in the morning, sitting in the sun with a coffee. I love when I have a lazy day to dedicate to writing, but in the real world, these are few and far between!!

Write without fear. I feel like I've had writer's block for about a decade. I had a story I'd been trying to wrench out of me and it - never - quite - worked. So you know what I did? I shelved it. It'll sit and percolate, and one day, it might come back to me.
But for now, I've started writing something totally different. A genre I've never written and never thought I'd write (despite reading it voraciously). Letting go of my fear and sinking into the joy of writing has been the most fun I've had in years.

Hi, I'm Spencer Rose. I'm a writer and new to GoodReads! I've been writing all my life, but it's something I've gotten out of the habit of. Some quiet time during self-iso meant that writing something I've been able to dedicate myself to again, which I realised I desperately missed. I'm feverishly writing a super fun novella, the start of a new sci-fi series. It's got badass women, tasers, evil corporations, some cheeky flirtation and my main character has some very cool powers -- but she doesn't quite know how to use them. Can't wait to share it with you soon.
