Get the Unwilling paperback signed!

Dear All,

Quick heads up: Our great friends at Oblong Books are taking orders for signed copies of the paperback of Kelly Braffet's amazing The Unwilling. If you are a fantasy reader, you are going to want to read this one. I like what Kelly Link said about it: "Put this on the shelf beside Naomi Novik and George R.R. Martin." Seconded!

All Best,
Owen

P.S. Check out Oblong's other signed books. They have quite a stock - Scott Spencer, Ethan Hawke, Francine Prose, and many, many more.

If You'd Like To Order A Signed Book

Dear All,

I'm going to be signing a bunch of books for my friends at Oblong Books. If you'd like to order one, they've set a lovely page where you can do just that. Please note, though, if you order Sleeping Beauties, it's only me that will be signing your book.

Best,
Owen

Women's Health 101

Dear All,

With a whole lot of help from some of the best writers working today, Kelly Braffet and I have put together an online charity auction to benefit Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley. Most of the books on sale are absolutely unique because, in honor of 101 years of Planned Parenthood providing essential healthcare for women, the authors have not only signed their books, but annotated page 101.

Please check it out!

Thank you,
Owen

P.S. If you are opposed to the cause, I'm sorry we disagree, but I am not interested in any sort of back-and-forth. If you'd like to blast us on your page, that's up to you. I won't be allowing it on mine, though.

Save Yourself some money!

Hey all,
It has recently come to my attention that the e-book of Kelly Braffet's
Save Yourself is going for a mere $1.99 at Amazon! It is a great, great book about people doing terrible things in Western Pennsylvania and I can't recommend it highly enough. I believe that this deal expires at the end of the month, so if you're interested you should take advantage of it ASAP.

Best,
Owen

Intro to Alien Invasion

Big news: Intro to Alien Invasion, a graphic novel I co-wrote with Mark Jude Poirier, illustrated by Nancy Ahn, is scheduled for release in September. Stay tuned for more information as it develops - appearances, giveaways, extraterrestrial tidbits, etc.

Cheers,
Owen

Attn: Holiday Shoppers

Hi there!

The wonderful folks at Oblong Books have created a holiday order page for anyone who'd like to order signed copies of my books. (The deadline for Christmas delivery is Dec. 8th.) They also have pages set up for Kelly Braffet, Michelle Zink, and Jennifer Donnelly, so check it out.

Cheers,
Owen

P.S. My new short story, "The Curator," a rare genre foray by yours truly, is out in the latest issue of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet. You can get a copy here. If you're not familiar with LCRW - you should be! Fans of speculative fiction will definitely dig this publication. I'm honored to join their family.

Gauntlet Press Special Limited Edition

Dear All,
The team at Gauntlet Press is about to begin accepting pre-orders for their "Special Edition" version of Double Feature! It includes the material from the "Deleted Scenes" chapbook that some of you already have, as well as a couple of additional bits that I created just for the occasion. The edition also includes an afterword by one of my oldest, dearest, and smartest friends, the author Scott Snyder (Voodoo Heart, Batman: Court of Owls), and wonderful tipsheet artwork by my brother, Joe Hill (NOS4A2). It's a very cool thing. Here's a link for more details if you're interested in picking up a copy.

Cheers,
Owen

Dave Barry reviews Double Feature

One of the great thrills of my writing life, an Amazon Guest Review of Double Feature by none other than Dave Barry. Here's a little of what he says:

"I liked [Double Feature] so much that it sort of pisses me off – the fact that Owen King, who is something like 142 years younger than I am, is such a skilled, imaginative and complete writer. This is a well-wrought and thoroughly satisfying novel, which manages, at the same time, to be both moving and – this is what pisses me off the most – very funny."

Mr. Barry: you're the best. Thank you.
