It's HERE!

And it's SO purr-ty!

And I held it for all of three minutes before one of my chicklets got a hold of it.

And now, my little girl, who is on the verge of being big girl, is upstairs in her PJs cuddled up in bed reading my book.

And that is just about the happiest feeling, ever.

I'm packing as I type (well, taking a break from packing as I type) but tomorrow morning, bright and early, I'll be winging my way to New Brunswick to take part in the Hackmatack Children's Choice Book Award tour. 

ACADIAN STAR was nominated for the 2009/2010 Hackmatack Program and I'll be joining several other nominated authors, visiting schools throughout the Atlantic Provinces.

I am SO looking forward to meeting all the kids who took part in the program and excited to talk to them about one ...

Wow! 140 people, food, fun, prizes and tons of KIDS WHO LOVE BOOKS! It doesn't get any better than this!
