Ride with Sadhguru: Episode One

In September, 2020, Sadhguru embarked on an epic road trip across the United States, setting off on a motorcycle with the intention of increasing global awareness of the rich traditions, histories, land, and lives of America’s indigenous people. All told, the tour lasted over a month and covered more than 10,000 miles, winding through over 15 states. The tour was documented in this beautifully produced series, entitled Ride with Sadhguru.

Skip the Resort, Spend Time in the Forest

When you envision your dream vacation, what images come to mind? Do you see yourself and your family hopping on a few rides at an amusement park, eating sweets, and occupying your time with parades and movie character mascots? Or perhaps you’re more inclined to get away from all the noise to relax somewhere in the mountains or on a beach, taking in the scenery and enjoying a slow pace.

If you’re unsure which options might suit you best, it might be worth spending a few minutes to really explore...

What Does Being Spiritual Mean?

For many of us, the word “spiritual” immediately brings a vision of a person meditating in silence or a person who has renounced his worldly possessions. In the modern era, there are countless teachers who share different techniques and methods of going deeper within oneself. Some rely on simple practices to stay in the present moment,  while others rely on detailed yogic practices and various visualization techniques including the use of sounds or colors. Is the end goal of all these practices...

The Problem with Toxic Clothing

There are many advantages that come with synthetic clothing. Currently, it is much cheaper to buy a polyester shirt than it is to buy an organic cotton shirt. They are easier to clean, easier to manage, and easier to produce. To many, it seems quite clear that synthetic clothing is a great invention that should be adopted by as many as possible.

However, are there any possible downsides of wearing synthetic clothing? Many do not know that these fabrics are made from plastic that is synthesized...

The Privilege of Being Human

Have you ever felt lost at some point, wondering what’s the purpose of life and what’s the point of doing all the things that we do on a daily basis? For some people, this can be just a fleeting thought quickly brushed aside by engaging in a movie or a sport or any other of the countless distractions that life offers. For others, it can manifest as a mid-life crisis or possibly a career switch to find something more meaningful. Many of us have experienced a feeling of saturation or boredom with...

Should Sexual Violence Lead to Endless Suffering?

Nationwide in the United States, 81% of women and 43% of men reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault in their lifetime. In this video, Sadhguru is asked a question that prevails in the hearts and minds of countless survivors of sexual violence. When one reaches the point of overcoming past trauma, why does guilt often stand in the way? And is it even right to let go of such experiences?

To Hope or Not to Hope?

“Hope is a trick. It’s a psychological trick. It’s a bone in front of you that you’ll never catch” – Sadhguru

To many, hope is by default a significant part of their lives. People live each day with the hope that circumstances will be better and that more things will go their way. But is this an obstacle to their growth?  Isn’t it always a good thing to keep one’s hopes high? Sadhguru disputes this view.

“Become hopeless,” he says and goes on to explain how hope, having crept into our daily li...

Inspirational Leadership

Have you ever wondered what inspires a collective group of people to give their very best at all times? One can speculate that team leaders play a big part in ensuring all team members are motivated and enthusiastic at all times. If so, how do team captains retain their sense of composure amidst all the expectations to be successful and not let failures get to them?

Peace, Joy, and Wellbeing

What does it mean to say that 95% of human suffering is generated from within, and what might we do about that?

How might understanding the relationship between a drive to establish boundaries versus a deep, human longing to expand help clarify the distinction between human nature and animal nature?

How does putting limits on our identity inhibit our ability to become a willing piece of life, and how can becoming willing help open the door to becoming truly joyful? Why is it important to distin...
