Cara Sutra Is In The Chair

One of the busiest and brainiest members of the erotic community has turned up at the grill today – wave your sex toys in the air for the brilliant Cara Sutra!

Who was your first famous-person crush?

Embarrassingly I used to have a thing for Noel Edmonds. Don’t ask me why! I blame the hormones. I was a very young teen and I must have sensed a weakness for older men at that early age. Don’t worry, I’ve fully recovered!

What inspired you as a child and young adult?

My grandmother. Unfortunately sh...

A.M. Hartnett Is Breaking Through

It’s time, guys and dolls! Time to get carried away with A.M. Hartnett – don’t fight it. You know you want it.

Hello again, gorgeous. We met, what over a year ago? Ah, I remember that moment so fondly:

For a couple of hours she worked only on what couldn t wait, then slipped her Dictaphone in one ear while she waited for Caroway s summons. She had just begun to record a second round of minutes when tall, blond and gorgeous walked through the glass doors.

Jesus ever-loving Christ.

The man shifted...

Frank Noir Is In The Chair

Bringing a touch of darkness to the grill, we have Frank Noir, all the way from Germany today. Welcome, Frank!

1. What was the first book you fell in love with?
When I was a teenager (and probably before that), I read lots and lots of sci-fi. And I distinctly remember coming across Kurt Vonnegut’s “Cat’s Cradle”. It puzzled me because, yes – it was definitely sci-fi – but also something else – and somehow very different from anything I ever read before. That was the beginning of a deep apprec...

Five Years of Misbehaviour

I should have posted this last month, because the Black LaceMisbehaviour anthology came out in October 2009. But I’m late, and generally not really with it, so here it is now.

It’s subtitledA Collection of Women Up To No Good, and the protagonist of my story,Office Sex, which kicks off proceedings, certainly doesn’t have virtue on her mind.

You can pretty much guess from the title what it’s about. I originally called itIn The Stationery Cupboard, which is even more of a giveaway. Some interesti...

Sallyanne Rogers Is In The Chair

But she won’t be in it for long – Sallyanne will be jumping up to jingle some bells and bang some sticks. I’ll let her explain it….Welcome, Sallyanne!

Who was your first famous-person crush?

Actually it was Scott Tracy in Thunderbirds when I was five. I was terribly upset when I worked out he was a puppet. I think the next one after that was Brian Connolly of The Sweet.

What writers inspired you as a child and young adult?

I was a seriously book-mad kid, and I read anything and everything – still...

K D Grace Is In The Chair

I was a bit worried K D might have been spirited away in a paranormal fog this month, as she has had her finger on the spooky pulse lately – but phew! She’s still here, and she’s bringing her seasonal self to the grill. Anyone for pumpkin? Welcome, KD!

Thanks SO much for having me over for a good grilling, Justine! It’s always so much fun to chat with you! Like most writers, it seems we never have quite enough time to talk shop and catch up.

Suz De Mello Is In The Chair

All the way from sunny California, I’m delighted to welcome Suz De Mello to the grill today. Welcome, Suz!

First, thanks for the opportunity, Justine!

What was the first book you fell in love with?

I don’t remember the name of the book, but I distinctly recall getting the same book from the library several times when I was about four. It was about a train, and had lots of pix showing what the train was carrying. I remember renewing it again and again.

Have you ever written a story inspired by mus...

Janine Ashbless Is In The Chair

God knows what’s going to happen to this chair now Janine’s got hold of it. Whatever it might be, you can bet it’ll be mysterious, dark and highly erotic – just like her stories. Welcome, Janine!

Fierce Enchantments

JA Interview by Justine Elyot

What was the first book you fell in love with?

Blimey. My memory isn’t that great … I still have my original Hilda Boswell’s Treasury of Poetry from when I was very small, but it was the illustrations that I was wildly in love with, more than the text. Comet in Moominland...

Hunter S Jones Is In The Chair

The air is autumnal and we’re gathering around the grill to warm our hands while leaves fall all around us. So it’s very appropriate that my guest today has a book with a suitable theme to promote – welcome, Hunter S Jones.

Who was your first famous-person crush?

I have no idea. Probably some English rocker or guitar player.

What inspired you as a child and young adult?

What inspired me? The same thing that inspires me today, the need to achieve and compete.

Why did you decide to start writing ero...
