Inside the Writer Brain and A Few of My Favorite Authors
Hello lovely readers!
It's JUNE already! How did that HAPPEN?? My children will be out of school in a week and a half! And then I have to entertain them all summer! ACK! Which means I'd better finish this manuscript tout suite...which means I really shouldn't be blogging, but I have exciting things to tell you about!

A Most Marvelous March!
Hi everyone!
March is turning out to be rather an exciting month . . .let's cover it chronologically, so I'll hopefully remember everything!
First of all, I'm doing a bookstore event THIS WEEKEND, like, the day after tomorrow! Eeeep! Sorry for the short notice -- but I hope some of you can come anyway! I'll be at Porter Square Books in Cambridge on Saturday, March 7 for an event supporting the Cambridge Friends School -- the event goes from 5-7pm, and I think I'll be speaking from 6:15 Read More [...]

Still Here, Under All This Snow
Hi everyone!
My goodness, universe, when I said "winter is coming," I didn't mean "BRING ON THE SNOW!" I've FINISHED book seven (at last! yippee!), so I don't need to experience the Ice Kingdom anymore. All set, thank you! You can take your snorkton of blizzards back now!
It's really quite amazing outside my house at the moment. Historic snow piled up to the windows! Our garden fence has vanished under the mountains! And driving through the streets is like navigating through six-foot-tall Read More [...]

Happy New Year, everyone! I am excited for 2015 -- are you? Our resolution is to organize our house (tiny hooligans will not thwart us!), and I am super-thrilled about all the Wings of Fire action coming up this year . . . including BOOK 7: Winter Turning!!!!!:

Shiny New Wings of Fire Forums!
Hello all!
MOON RISING comes out TOMORROW! And to celebrate, Scholastic has updated the Wings of Fire website to make it super shiny and beautiful -- plus, now it has spectacular Wings of Fire forums! I posted over there a few days ago . . . come chat with me and the other FanWings! (Watch out for Moon Rising spoilers, though -- some people have managed to read it already!)

Lots of Books to Love!
Hello all!
Well, I promised to post my favorite books of the year before Hanukkah . . . hmm, how about on Hanukkah instead? You still need gift ideas for the rest of the days, right? :)
It turns out I read a lot of books this year (134 so far), and quite loved a lot of them, which means it's going to be hard to keep this short! But I must try so I can get back to writing -- so here, in no particular order, are the books I loved reading this year! (And think you should buy for all sorts Read More [...]

So . . . how was YOUR November? :-) Because mine was crazy in ALL THE WAYS! Crazy awesome, crazy busy, crazy thrilling, crazy stressful, crazy in love with all of you FanWings who came out to the events on my tour. Thank you thank you! It was so much fun to meet you all! I hope we can do it again soon!
