Okay, maybe I'm not SO thrilled with being left behind and not being able to go to the Romance Writers of America convention. BUT…there are positives. Like the fact that I'm going to get lots of writing done! Yay, right?

Where there will be a gob of my friends, authors I stalk like to read, readers who like to read, editors, agents, and all around fun. For me, this is always a bittersweet holiday. I love the cookouts and the fireworks and the fact that it is an important day in American history. But it's a also a day of accidents, and terror for animals (so many sickos out there like to torture animals with firecrackers, as well.) So please, have fun, but stay safe, and keep your animals indoors for the next few days!
