Special Offer For Christmas

I did something like this last year on my Myspace page (which I haven't updated in months, ack!) and had almost forgotten that I wanted to do it again this year, but my high school classmate, author Lisa Schroeder, is doing something similar, and it reminded me!

Anyway, if you plan to give any Demonica books as Christmas gifts, shoot me an email ([email protected]) or use the contact form on my website, and I'll send a personalized bookplate and bookmark to you to give with the book!...

Win A Demon Sheep!

Over at Katiebabs's blog, she's running a fun contest where you can win your own demon sheep! (If you don't know what a demon sheep is, hop over to her blog to read the story…and then come up with your own 100 word story about what you would do with your demon sheep!

Fun!

Okay, back to the grindstone. I'm hoping to finish copyedits on Tempting The Fire today so I can spend tomorrow decorating for Christmas and making candy. Yay, candy!!!!

Signed Books

I saw the strangest thing on Twitter yesterday. An author (for the life of me, I can't remember who! ) went to a bookstore to sign her newest release. Out of eleven copies, the manager only let her sign four. Why?

Because, according to the manager, some readers don't like to buy signed books.

Huh? Seriously??? So out of eleven people who will buy those books SEVEN would prefer unsigned books? And who prefers an unsigned book over a signed one?

I'm having trouble with this, because I ...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope everyone who celebrates has a wonderful, safe holiday. Make sure you give everyone around you (this includes the pets!) a big, mushy hug.

I know this has been a horrible year for a lot of people, including some members of my family. But I've been very, very lucky in my writing, the move we made, and in the friends around me. I'm thankful for so much, and that includes my fantastic readers.

Please, take care, be safe, and don't forget those hugs!

And speaking of thankful, Stephanie...

Hard To Hold Releases!!!!!!

hard_215 WOOT! It's out! It's out! Jake is ON THE SHELVES!

Lt. Jake Hansen has survived some of the riskiest missions known to man. But now the wounded Navy SEAL faces his toughest job yet: Smuggling Dr. Isabelle Markham out of Africa without triggering an international incident. Not easy to do when the gorgeous hostage happens to be a senator's daughter —and about as easy to resist as an oasis in the desert…

If it weren't for Jake, Isabelle would still be halfway across the world, where rebel...

Okay, first of all, thank you to everyone who entered! I'm SO thrilled at the response — you guys are amazing!

Second…OMG, it took me THREE HOURS to put together all the entries in a numbered list. With all the tweets and multiple postings on blogs and websites, there were OVER three hundred entries! Holy cow!

And since there were so many entries, I decided to add some extra prizes!

So…with the help of Randomizer.org, here is the winner list:

Grand Prize: Krystean, for her tweet on Nov...

Hard To Hold Release Contest!!!!

hard_215Next week, my Sydney Croft writing partner, Stephanie Tyler, has a new book coming out!

Hard To Hold (which received a STARRED review from Publisher's Weekly!) is the first in a military romance series about Navy SEALs. What makes her books stand out from a lot of military romance is that the focus is truly the romance and the relationships, not just between the hero and heroine, but between the brothers who star in the books. Stephanie writes very strong heroes, and her voice is just...

New Sale!

I'm THRILLED to announce that I've just signed a contract with Kensington to write a paranormal novella to be included in an anthology with Jacquelyn Frank for publication in 2011! This is SO cool, because I just love her books, so I'm kind of having fangirl squeals now and then!

Anyway, to read more, I'm over at Writeminded blog today. I'd love it if you stopped by to say hi!

An Interview and Stuff

Making this short and sweet! Mainly because I'm currently deeply involved in the world of Dragon Age Origins, where I'm battling demons, undead, and huge, scary beasts. Naturally, all this fighting requires concentration, so that's pretty much all I've been doing for, um, days.

I'm battle-weary, covered in blood and gore, and drunk on watery ale, but my party and I are still alive. Barely.

Anyway, on to more pleasant, real-world things…

I'm over at Tigris Eden's with an interview! Plus, one ...
