My Angel

Hi, everyone,

I married an angel.

You need to understand. These aren't my words - well, okay, they are now - but the first to say I married an angel was my dad. He and my mom think my husband "walks on water" and that "to put up with her" he must be an angel. Okay, they're kidding about how bad I am, but I do think that if we ever got a divorce, they'd want custody of my husband over me, lol.

At any rate, the sweet guy proved them right again. He showed up yesterday after a long, grueling week of work with a dozen red roses and the sweetest note. So, yeah, I married an angel. No wonder I use him as my inspiration for all my heroes.

So what about you? Have you found your angel or hero? If so, tell us about him.

Question - What's a talker to do?

Hi, everyone,

I've held a lot of jobs in my life. I mean, a lot. But by far, writing is the loneliness.

I'm in my office at least 6 days a week writing. My only companions are my 2 dogs, Charlie and Maxie (both shihtzus). Don't get me wrong, they're great. But although I write paranormal romances with werewolves, werecats, vamps and more, I know animals don't really talk. At least not in human speech, LOL.

But there's been a side effect I hadn't counted on. My husband is going crazy!

First, you have to understand that by nature, he's a very quiet, solitary person. He could live in a cave and never see another person and be happy for the rest of his life. Me? I'm the exact opposite. I like to talk. And talk. And talk.

The problem is...I talk his head off when he comes homes from work. The last thing he wants is to listen to me jabber on about characters and plots and whatever the dogs did that was funny. Still, he's a good sport, never complaining, but I can see his eyes cloud over. Poor guy.

So my question to you is this. How do I get my "talk on" without driving him off the edge of a mental cliff? Before you answer, know that blogging, texting, etc. won't work. I like that stuff, but I get enough of it during the day. What I need is face-to-face conversation.

Skype?
Find a new job? (No way!)
Call friends? (Although most of them are usually busy with their families by the time I can chat.)
Call my college age daughter? (Hahahaha. Like she wants to hear from dear old Mom.)

Got any creative ideas? If so, let me know!
