Easy DIY Strawberry Oat Milk with Flavor Variations

Flavored milks are heavy in fat and sugar, but this plant-based recipe is lightened up by using a base of oats and sweetened with stevia.

We all know that oats are great to add to your diet, but did you ever think of making oat milk? Like other nondairy milks that are made of almonds, rice and soy, oat milk is just as refreshing.

If you’ve always bought your plant-based milks you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to make your own. Oat milk is one of the easiest since you only soak the rolled oa...

Muffins for Muffin Fundraiser

MuffinsForMuffin

I try to help out animals anyway I can. Of course, you have to pick a few causes and Muffins for Muffin really touched me. As many of you know I love animals, in fact that’s the main reason that I stopped eating meat 30 years ago.

Muffin is a beautiful pitbull who has some big medical bills due to some chemical burns she has.Kita of Pass the Sushi is doing this fundraiser to help pay Muffin’s medical bills. This is what she has to say:

As you all know, we are rooting on Lil Miss Muffin, a pup f...

Easy Asian Broccoli Slaw Made with Coconut Milk

This is great as a side on a picnic or to top a veggie burger hot off the grill. It’s creamy with coconut milk and has a little kick from Sriracha. Mincing the broccoli will fool the pickiest eater into trying a few bites.

This dish comes together in minutes, so it’s perfect for animpromptuparty. I don’t use many bagged veggies, but broccoli slaw is my exception. It’s not expensive and is great to throw into stir frys, soups, stews and salads. Plus broccoli gives a nutritional punch to any dis...

Vanilla Rosewater Parfaits

great-vegan-bean-book-blog-tour-savethekales

Jamie K of Save the Kales joins the blog tour with one of my favorite recipes, Vanilla and Rosewater Parfaits.

This is what Jamie has to say about this unusual dessert -You’d never think this gorgeous, fluffy parfait is a protein powerhouse made with beans, so your mind is about to be blown.

Plus you can change up the flavors by using different cookies for the crumbs and switch out the extracts.

I hope you are having a wonderful summer!

Summer Rolls and Winners

I finally have some winners to post from the contests!

Ecolissa $50.00 gift certificate – Comment 41 -Shade @ One Vegan Fatty
iBookstore copy of The Great Vegan Bean Book – Comment 37 – Kim from Nashville

I’m not a fan of sweating over a hot grill or stove. It’s much cooler to just soak some rice paper wrappers in warm water and filling them with fresh veggies or other pre-cooked goodies.

The beauty of summer rolls is that you can stuff them with just about anything in your fridge. I had 2 kinds...
