Michele Feltman Strider stumbled into writing in an effort to monetize the time she spent talking to her imaginary friends.

After publishing her first book, Homecoming, Michele realized that being a novelist not only exempted her from real work but gave her the opportunity to write third-person biographies about herself.

Since then, she has written Hometown, Homeless, and Homestyle, because titles are hard, y’all.

What is Homestyle?

So, what’s this Homestyle thing you keep yammering about?
Homestyle is a series of 13 monthly vignettes, set in and around the Homestyle Salon and Spa in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. The series focuses on Jolene Harris, the young beautician who first appeared in my second novel Hometown . It's a comedy, so, theoretically, funny.

What's with all of the "Home" titles?
