The Fatal Stamp

Today is a big day, y'all.  Why, you ask?  Because today in 1765, the Stamp Act was passed!

Obviously not from colonial times

If you didn't happen to be cool enough to collect stamps (like some of us), and are thinking, "What?! Stamps.  LAME!", well, my friend, lame could not be farther from the truth!  So you probably know that taxation played a big role in starting the American Revolution.  Let's explore a little more, shall we?

This may be hard to believe, as I am one of the blondest people ever, but I am, in fact, a wee bit Irish!
a wee Irish pony  I have gotten in touch with my Irish heritage mostly through a love of the dance (I took Irish step in college), many viewings of this fantastic film, a passion for potatoes, and, naturally, learning more about Irish history.  So what is St. Patrick's Day?  Who was this St. Patrick...

Cupcake ATM

The world needs to know that this is happening. best thing ever



That, my friends, is a cupcake ATM, courtesy of Sprinkles, an L.A. bakery often touted as the world's first cupcake bakery (i.e. the progenitor of Magnolia, Crumbs, and many other fine cupcake establishments.)  It's also always being tweeted about by celebs - or was.  People keep saying that cupcakes are over, but I will NEVER GIVE UP!
Because I am a proud east coaster, I have unfortunately never been to a Sprinkles - but...
