Thrilling news – On my way to Thrillerfest!
I’m on my way to New York for Thrillerfest, which is taking place from tomorrow, May 30, until Saturday, June 3, at The Sheraton in Times Square. So, if you have tickets, don’t forget to pop by and see me.
On Wednesday I’ll be teaching a class at Craftfest about the author/reader relationship at 4pm. Then on Friday, at 9am, I will be with my other thriller award nominees discussing Hardcover, Paperback or ebook? On Saturday it’s the award ceremony where No Place To Run is up for Best Paperback Original Novel. Wish me luck!

Come to Brum for a Q&A with me and Mark Billingham
I’m out and about again and I’m excited to announce a very special event in Birmingham on Saturday, June 10th, when I’ll be appearing in conversation with mega-bestseller and local legend Mark Billingham.
The event is at the Midlands Art Centre in Cannon Hill Park and tickets are limited so grab yours quickly!

Suspense at the seaside – An evening with myself and Elly Griffiths
I’m very excited to announce my event with Elly Griffiths in Brighton on Thursday, June 22nd.
It takes place at Waterstones and starts at 7pm. We will both be signing books and I will have some pens and other merchandise to give out.

Festival fever: Come and see me in Wales!
Just a reminder that I’ll be appearing in Wales as part of this fab-looking new festival, Gwyl Crime Cymru Festival, on Saturday, April 22nd.
If you’re in Wales or are planning to come to the festival, or even just fancy a day out, come along and get a book signed! I’ll be giving out pens too.
The event: “Crime fiction is one of the most flexible genres, as the authors here have proved so successfully. We’ll celebrate a much-loved series, but we’ll also look at the inspiration to move on and yet stay close to home in doing so. Perhaps we can persuade them to reveal where they’re headed next!”

You’re invited. . . The Magpies 10th Anniversary and The Sequels Book Launch Party!
Let’s party! Join the party here on Wednesday, April 5. It’s party time! Join me to celebrate the tenth anniversary of my solo novel, The Magpies, and to launch the brand new paperback of The Magpies Sequels.
I’ll be doing a reading, giving away some incredible prizes (including very rare books) and showing off the amazing new merch I’ve created.

Cover reveal. . . The Magpies Sequels limited edition paperback
The big cover reveal you’ve all been waiting for since I made the announcement! It’s here! I hope you like it. . .Available as a limited edition paperback from April 5th, The Magpies Sequels collects together the novellas A Murder of Magpies and Last of the Magpies, which were previously only available as ebooks and audiobooks.
As well as the two novellas, there’s an intro by Claire Douglas, a new essay by yours truly and something very secret and very special that Lucy Newton fans will love. I’ll also be releasing some extremely cool stuff at the same time as part of the celebrations.
All will be revealed soon – and the paperback will be launched at my Magpies Ten Year Anniversary Party here on my Facebook page on April 5th. You don’t need to do anything now except put that date in your diary.

Meet me in Aberystwyth in April!
Tickets for my event in Aberystwyth on Saturday, April 22 are on sale now!
I’m really excited to be appearing with CL Taylor and Louise Mumford at the event chaired by Jacky Collins.
This is my first ever live appearance in Wales and I promise it will be more entertaining than whatever’s on telly at 5.15pm on a Saturday afternoon.
The event is centred around crime fiction being one of the most flexible genres. All three of us will be discussing our inspiration and we may even reveal our plans for the future and where we’re headed next!
