Prepare to be spooked – The Hollows is out!

The Hollows, my eleventh solo novel, is out now! It’s a super creepy story set in a resort deep in the Maine woods and one that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

A big thank you to those who have already bought a copy of the book and left a review. I’m really grateful as it helps spread the word!

If you want to know more about it, here’s the blurb:

With his marriage over and his career in freefall, journalist Tom decides to reconnect with his fourteen-year-old daughter, Frankie. Desperate to spend precious time together now that they live an ocean apart, he brings her to Hollow Falls, a cabin resort deep in the woods of Maine.

From the outset there’s something a little eerie about the place—strange whispers in the trees, windchimes echoing through the forest—but when Tom meets true-crime podcasters David and Connie, he receives a chilling warning. Hollow Falls has a gruesome history: twenty years ago this week, a double slaying shut down the resort. The crime was never solved, and now the woods are overrun with murder-obsessed tourists looking to mark the grim anniversary.

It’s clear that there’s something deeply disturbing going on at Hollow Falls. And as Tom’s dream trip turns into a nightmare, he and Frankie are faced with a choice: uncover the truth, or get out while they still can.

Buy your copy here.

The Hollows cover reveal!

I’m excited to reveal the cover for my brand new novel, The Hollows, which is out on July 8th 2021.

What do you think? I love it. I think it perfectly captures the atmosphere of the book; that feeling of being trapped in the deep, dark woods…

Here’s a reminder of the blurb and the pre-order link:

Publication date for The Hollows!

THE HOLLOWS has a publication date!

Put July 8th 2021 in your diaries. We’ll be living in the glorious post-pandemic future by then (I’m thinking positively) and you’ll all be in the mood for a creepy cabin in the woods novel.

Here’s what it’s all about: A dad and his teenage daughter go to stay at a cabin resort in the Maine woods, and find the place crawling with dark tourists…drawn by the ritual murders that happened 20 years before.

You can pre-order it here. More details to follow. . .

The House Guest hits 100,000 plus copies sold!

I received some great news this week when I was told by my publisher that The House Guest has sold over 100,000 copies!

Thank you to Thomas & Mercer for sending me this shadowbox (I have twelve of them now!) and an even bigger thank you to everyone who has bought the book.

If you’ve not yet read The House Guest it’s about a British couple who are house-sitting in Brooklyn for a couple they met on a cruise. Then one rainy summer afternoon a young woman turns up on the doorstep, claiming to know the house owners. The couple invite her in and… well, if you’re a regular reader of my books you’ll know everything is not as it seems.

Here’s the blurb…and you can buy it on Amazon

When British twenty-somethings Ruth and Adam are offered the chance to spend the summer housesitting in New York, they can’t say no. Young, in love and on the cusp of professional success, they feel as if luck is finally on their side.

So the moment that Eden turns up on the doorstep, drenched from a summer storm, it seems only right to share a bit of that good fortune. Beautiful and charismatic, Eden claims to be a friend of the homeowners, who told her she could stay whenever she was in New York.

They know you’re not supposed to talk to strangers—let alone invite them into your home—but after all, Eden’s only a stranger until they get to know her.

As suspicions creep in that Eden may not be who she claims to be, they begin to wonder if they’ve made a terrible mistake…

Thank you everyone who has helped send Here To Stay back to the summit of the Kindle chart!

It’s currently at the top spot on Amazon with some really great reviews. I appreciate you all leaving them and buying the book.

I’m also delighted to announce that it has now sold over 250,000 copies since it was published last September.

If you’ve not yet read it, you can find out more about it or buy a copy here.

This is what it’s about. . .

A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.

Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.

The Robinsons arrive with Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a mysterious young woman who refuses to speak or leave her room. Elliot starts to suspect that the Robinsons are hiding a dark secret. And then there are the scars on his wife’s body that she won’t talk about . . .

As Elliot’s in-laws become more comfortable in his home, encroaching on all aspects of his life, it becomes clear that they have no intention of moving out. To protect Gemma, and their marriage, Elliot delves into the Robinsons’ past. But is he prepared for the truth?
