If I had it to do over
In concluding my book Mystics and Healers: Travels into the World of Mystics, Shamans and Miracle-Makers), I wrote the following:
"I have often been asked, given what I have seen as a traveler between realms, if I had it to do over again when I was diagnosed with a show-stopping illness in 1991, or if I had a recurrence now, what would I do. My answer is - everything. First, I would go to the white-coated wizards and take whatever help they had to offer. Then I would go to the doctors of soul and spirit and get healed."
Only a few years later when I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, I had it to do over, and I did everything to survive. In my latest book, The Thirteenth Moon: A Journey into the Heart of Healing, I detail my own personal experiences with integrative medicine as I sought help from both the white-coated wizards and the doctors of soul and spirit who helped me heal.
