September 11th. Twelve years. Kids who were born in September 2001 are turning or have turned twelve years old. I have a granddaughter among them. Unlike many of my friends, I am not a fast reader. I like to linger over sentences. I don’t like to rush through a book. What a wonderful weekend I've had. No agenda. Just fellowship with other Christian writers. We talked writing. We talked Scripture. We talked faith. We laughed and laughed. I love the Wizard of Oz movie. Huge fan. HUGE! My daughters know this and have given me the keepsakes to prove it (not to mention taking me to see Wicked on my birthday awhile back). I love the new Oz movie too, mostly because it tried to honor the 1939 version.
