London, 1899. The beautiful people are dying… A malevolent power is attacking London’s bright young things, and the only clue to what’s happening is written in ancient Egyptian script. As ghost-hunter Simon Feximal and his companion Robert Caldwell investigate the mysterious deaths, the arrival in London of a notorious scholar-sorcerer seems to hold the answer to more than one of their problems.A quiet break in London while en route to Egypt turns dramatic for Dr Percival Endicott Whyborne and his lover Griffin Flaherty when they encounter the hostile ghost-hunter. Feximal clearly suspects the worst of Whyborne – and his flirtatious sidekick seems to think a great deal too well of Griffin…
Jordan L Hawk’s heroes Whyborne and Griffin meet KJ Charles’ occult detectives from the Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal in a mystery that takes all four lovers through the decadent underworld of Victorian London in pursuit of an ancient and deadly evil.
Remnant is a short story taking place during the opening chapters of W&G 4 (Necropolis) and teams up our boys with KJ’s paranormal detectives Simon Feximal and Robert Caldwell. You don’t have to have read The Caldwell Ghost or Butterflies to understand the plot, but really, why would you deny yourself the pleasure? Especially since Butterflies is free!
Remnant releases March 11, 2014 and will be a freebie. Add it to your GoodReads TBR shelf here.

Eidolon Early Release (Winter Panic Edition)
I know “Eidolon” wasn’t supposed to release until tomorrow, but the forecast is for lots of snow and possible ice here. So my paranoia kicked into high gear and I decided to set it lose on the world a day early.
Blurb:
Griffin Flaherty wants nothing more than to create a perfect Valentine’s Day for his lover, Dr. Percival Endicott Whyborne. Dinner at a fancy restaurant, an evening at the theater, and a romantic interlude at home should do the trick.
But a new client with an urgent case puts Griffin’s plans in jeopardy. A magic talisman has been stolen, and if it isn’t returned by sundown, disaster will befall not only on the thief but the innocents around him.
Can Whyborne and Griffin track down and return the amulet by nightfall, or will dinner reservations become the least of their worries?
Note: This story takes place between the events of Widdershins and Threshold, and is narrated from Griffin’s point of view.

Your Wait is Over – Destroyer of Worlds is Live!
I’ll be honest–I’m really, really excited about this release! For all those who had to wait many months after the cliffhanger ending of Eater of Lives, I hope this makes it up to you.
After becoming possessed by the vampire spirit Gray, telekinetic Caleb Jansen thought his situation couldn’t get any worse. But that was before Graham Forsyth, head of SPECTR’s sinister Research Division, took him into custody.
Forsyth claims he can exorcise Gray before the forty-day time limit runs out. But once at RD, Caleb and Gray find themselves ensnared in a web of lies. What is the truth behind the tests Forsyth is performing on them? What does the agency really plan to do with Gray? And most worrisome of all, why does Gray sense demons within the walls of RD’s compound?
Caleb’s boyfriend, SPECTR agent John Starkweather, has suspicions of his own. With the help of his friend Sean and a shadowy organization known only by their symbol of a moth, John intends to save Caleb and Gray at any cost.
But when divided loyalties threaten his last chance at exorcism, Caleb discovers love may come at a price higher than he’d ever imagined.

A Case of Possession – KJ Charles
Whyborne & Griffin fans, did you know I’m not the only writer of gay paranormal Victorian investigators? KJ Charles exploded on the scene last year with The Magpie Lord, the first in her Charm of Magpie series. If you haven’t read it yet, I encourage you to do so! And if you have, be advised the wait is over, and book 2 A Case of Possession is now out.
I had the immense pleasure of reading this one early, and I’d like to tell you it’s even better than the first.
Blurb:
A Charm of Magpies, Book 2
Lord Crane has never had a lover quite as elusive as Stephen Day. True, Stephen’s job as justiciar requires secrecy, but the magician’s disappearing act bothers Crane more than it should. When a blackmailer threatens to expose their illicit relationship, Crane knows a smart man would hop the first ship bound for China. But something unexpectedly stops him. His heart.
Stephen has problems of his own. As he investigates a plague of giant rats sweeping London, his sudden increase in power, boosted by his blood-and-sex bond with Crane, is rousing suspicion that he’s turned warlock. With all eyes watching him, the threat of exposure grows. Stephen could lose his friends, his job and his liberty over his relationship with Crane. He’s not sure if he can take that risk much longer. And Crane isn’t sure if he can ask him to.
The rats are closing in, and something has to give…

Thank You for An Incredible Year
Thank you to everyone for an incredible year! 2013 was truly wonderful in so many ways. We broke into the top 100 GLBT books on Amazon in January, had a book of the month on the M/M romance reader group on Goodreads, and finaled in the Rainbow Awards. Then in December we put Stormhaven in the top 10 GLBT books on Amazon, which was a dream come true for me. But the best part by far was connecting with all of you, either face-to-face or online.
For 2014, the current plan is to release the next two W&G novels: Necropolis in May and Bloodline in November, in addition to a Valentine’s Day short story from Griffin’s POV. The last (?) two SPECTR novellas, Destroyer of Worlds and Summoner of Storms are scheduled for February and July. I’m also working on a secret project I can’t talk about yet, but which I think will fill many of you with delight.
Thank you again for a wonderful year. I truly do have the best readers–no, the best friends–an author could ask for.

Stormhaven Release Day!
It’s been a long six months since Threshold, but Stormhaven is finally available! Links below, but first I want to say that, had all of you not embraced Whyborne & Griffin and taken their story to heart, this book would never have been written. I loved the characters and I loved their story, but I never imagined so many others would want to join in on their journey.
So thank you. Thank you so much for lifting my spirits when they were down, for telling me to get back to work when I was playing on Facebook , for tweets and emails and shares and messages. Most of all, thank you for joining me on this crazy adventure of books and boys and things that go bump in the night.
