[Music] I Love Randomness

For me, driving to work takes approximately 15mins, after dropping the toddler off. Yep, 15mins… and that’s pretty much right across town. That’s Dunedin for ya! I get frustrated when traffic is moving at 40K/H. Honestly, I have no idea how people cope with actual traffic jams. Anyway, I have an MP3 disc in my [...]

Changes

Bear with me for a little while, I’m doing a little housekeeping here with visions of improving my blog/website overall. I see that the new theme makes some of my older posts look a little funny. I shall play around with the settings and see how we go!

Six Sentence Sunday – Facing Death #SixSunday

Hey all! GivingSix Sentence Sundayanother blast.

Anyway, withHealer’s Touchdue to be released early next year, I thought I might work on garnering some interest.

A brief background: Llew’s friend’s employer was found dead, but when the law (Farries) captured him, he pointed the finger at Llew, sending them both to the hangman’s noose.

If you trusted them, if you let your heart rest with them, they left, just as Llew’s ma and pa had done. Sure, they were most likely dead, but that offered no adde...

[Music] NZ’s Got Talent

We sure do!

And I was considering starting a regular schedule of sharing some Kiwi talent – in particular music, since that’s kind of my “thing”. Weekly wouldn’t be nice, but I’ll have to work that out. I might do a weekly general Kiwi music feature and aim for a monthly New Kiwi Music feature. And then there is the music I just love from wherever… I really don’t know with my regular schedule being as it is, but it could be fun. Plus, I’m not sure if I am going to be able to keep up with my “T...

Six Sentence Sunday – The Lady #SixSunday

Hey all! GivingSix Sentence Sundayanother blast.

Anyway, withHealer’s Touchdue to be released early next year, I thought I might work on garnering some interest.

Braph

A brief background: Braph, my antagonist, is travelling with the intention of finding Llew, my protagonist. In the following scene, he has just arrived in her home country (luckily at the other end).

The Lady Pancetelle wasn’t much of a lady in Braph’s opinion. His ears had been assaulted by foul language throughout the journey, sh...

Horsey Fun & I Suck At Stuff

Do you know how many times I hovered over the WordPress drop down menu and clicked on the link to go to my home page, rather than going one step further to click on the link to create a new post? Five or six. I didn’t think it was important enough to start counting… maybe even seven. Enough times, anyway, to put my head in my hands. Yes, yes I did…

Topaz giving a ride (2009)

Anyway, I thought it had been some time since I shared a little slice-of-life type post, and I thought I’d do one tonight...

Hey everybody. I did a little Guest Post slot for my writer/blogger friend, Chris Stocking. He has a real talent for prolific writing and has dabbled in Fantasy, Sci Fi, and is now delving into Steampunk with hisLondon Darkness series. In the lead up to his second book in the series coming out (currently expected to be released at the start of 2013),...

Six Sentence Sunday – What’s Your Kind? #SixSunday

Hey all! Thought I’d give thisSix Sentence Sundayanother blast.

Anyway, withHealer’s Touchdue to be released in January, I thought I might work on garnering some interest.

A brief background: In the beginning of “Healer’s Touch”, Llew is passing as a boy in order to avoid the dangers of being a young girl living on the streets. Here, her new companion, Cassidy, is admiring the girl they are escorting to her future husband.

“Of course, men like you an’ me never get girls like that. They keep to t...

The Next Big Thing!

Or, to quote many aBrisco County Jr episode “The coming thing”… Yep, I think I’ve just set up a mission in the back of my mind to rebuild interest in that early ’90s show (not that I expect a remake… it wouldn’t be the same without Bruce Campbell, and John Pyper Ferguson… I love Pete). And if you don’t know what tangents I am disappearing off to there, I suggest you go learn! It’s worth a few giggles.

Right, on with the show… I mean post.

Do you want to play a game? No, this isn’t some weird ‘S...
