900 Minutes is Now an Audiobook

900 Minutes Audible

It’s with great excitement and pleasure that I announce the Audio edition of 900 Minutesis now available on Audible.  Once again, I’m lucky enough to have had   as the narrator on this one (Jamison narrated 900 Miles).  Jamison is a really cool guy, who has a long roster of movies, TV shows and audio voice work under his belt.  Not only has he acted in  TV shows like The Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Burn notice and 24, he’s also done some voice work for Star Wars Rebel Assault II. (all of which I thought was totally awesome!)

I gotta say I think the final product is another home run! If you’re interested in checking it out, you can find it on Amazon by clicking here. You can even get it for free by joining Audible’s 30 day free trial (I think you can cancel anytime).

Anyway, if you pick up a copy, you’ll have to let me know what you think!

How far would any father go to save his son?

900 Miles is now an Audiobook on Audible!

Some of my fondest memories from childhood are from those long car trips I’d take with my family for vacation.  We rarely took a plane anywhere, so it wasn’t uncommon for us to be in a car for eight hours a day as we headed to places like Disney World or the Beach.

Why would I have fond memories of the car trip?  Well, as a family we’d always pick out a great “Book on Tape” to listen to (yes I said Tape).  I heard Jurassic Park before it came out as a movie.  I listened to the Empire Strikes back on tape (which is really well done if you haven’t ever had a chance to pick it up).  In fact, I listened to some of the best stories I’ve ever been exposed to while my brother, sister and I were packed into the back seat of my parents old white Ford Taurus station wagon.

All that said, its with great excitement and pleasure that I announce the Audio edition of 900 Miles is now available on Audible today.  Hearing my own story being told through the car speakers is truly an amazing experience (yes, I’m a big geek).

I kinda feel like I hit the jackpot with Audible when my agent emailed me to let me know that Audible snagged   to help bring 900 Miles to life.

While I had little to do with the final product (outside of Audible using my story), I have to say that I’m really pleased with the final result.  The production quality and great voice acting done by Jamison really brought the story to life in a way I didn’t imagine possible.

If you’re interested in checking it out, you can find it on Amazon by clicking here.  You can even get it for free by joining Audible’s 30 day free trial (I think you can cancel anytime).

Anyway, if you pick up a copy, you’ll have to let me know what you think!

Sequel to 900 Miles (current status)

Thank you to everybody who’s reached out asking about the sequel to 900 Miles.  While I’ve been dripping some info about the status of the 2nd book into the social media stratosphere, I thought I’d share along an official update here.

First and foremost – there is a sequel to 900 Miles :)

After subjecting a number of AWESOME beta readers to my initial chapters and drafts, the sequel is currently in editing mode – which basically means its getting ready for prime-time upload to Amazon.

As a sneak-peak, the book will start out roughly seven months after the outbreak….and you’ll see lots more of John, Kyle, Jarvis, and of course Avalon.  This story will be one of adaptation, illustrating just how hard man is willing to fight when backed into the proverbial corner.  Will it be the best in us that prevails….or the worst?

I promise to share an official synopsis along shortly.

Q/A

What’s the title of 900 Miles 2?  Ahhh, sorry, I’m keeping this one a secret for a bit.  I’ll be sure to announce shortly.  Stay tuned….
Who’s Publishing 900 Miles 2?  Severed Press, the same publisher that put 900 Miles on the market.  It will likely be only on Amazon at first.
When will it be up on Amazon?  At the moment, I believe it will be up in a few months.  I feel pretty good about the current draft, and Severed Press is eager to fast track it.

If you’re interested in getting a preview to the first chapter of the sequel, prior to the launch of the book, I’m plan on sending it to anybody who has reached out via the contact me form.  If you’d like early access, just drop me a line!

Thanks,

S. Johnathan Davis

One Year Later after Publishing 900 Miles

January 8th of 2013 is the date that 900 Miles went up on Amazon for sale….and its been a heck of a ride.  Looking back at the past year (and a few days), I thought I’d take some time to do a short recap.

A week after 900 Miles went up on Amazon, it jumped to number one on Amazon’s Hot New Books in Horror…. And then stayed in the top ten of Horror Occult for over three months.  As a first time author, this was of course more than I could ever have imagined or hoped for.

In addition to launching 900 Miles with Severed Press for world wide distribution in ebook and print, the book was then picked up to be published by Kings Way Press for a limited edition signed hard cover run.  To top it off, LUZIFER-Verlag Steffen Janssen picked up 900 miles to be translated into German – which will be coming out soon.  To say that it’s been a whirlwind is to put it lightly.

After guest hosting on a number of podcast with the cool folks at Zombie Cast and the Dead Men Talking, being interviewed on various blogs, and appearing at conferences like the Walker Stalker Con, I simply still cannot believe the reception that 900 Miles has had with the zombie community (and sometimes outside of it).

The response to the novel has been overwhelming .  A week doesn’t go by where I don’t get a note from someone who’s read the book letting me know that they dug it.  I’m both humbled and proud that anybody would take the time to reach out to me.  It means so much.

The icing on the cake is that I’m within striking distance of finishing the first draft of the sequel to 900 Miles (TBD on title), which has already been picked up by Severed Press.  I can only hope that it will live up to the first book.  With that said, I’m super stoked to share the story.  I believe the fans will love it!

Thanks to all who have supported the book as well as my efforts.  Again, I’m humbled by all the letters and support.

Hopefully 2014 will be as amazing as 2013 was!

Thanks to all!

S. Johnathan Davis
