Surprise, Kill, Vanish -- Coming May 14, 2019

My new book's main character is the indomitable Billy Waugh, a CIA legend (60+years) and former U.S. Army Green Beret.

He's one of 42 sources who sat with me for hundreds of hours of exclusive interviews, including two surviving members of the OSS; eight individuals who served the CIA at the Senior Intelligence Service (SIS) level; eleven chiefs of station from countries on five continents; numerous chiefs of base who served in some of the world’s most dangerous outposts, including in Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan; nineteen operators from the Special Activities Division (SAD), Ground Branch; and a CIA attorney who wrote scores of classified Presidential Findings.

Every operation reported in SURPRISE, KILL, VANISH, however shocking, was legal -- and at the President's behest.

19 days til pub

19 days til OPERATION PAPERCLIP. Was NASA hero Wernher von Braun really once a member of the dreaded, ultra-nationalistic Nazi paramilitary squad, the SS? Please also join me on Twitter @AnnieJacobsen
