#LoveAThon Mini Challenge 4

Hello Poetteers,

This challenge is all about mash-ups. We have to put together our bookish life with a non-bookish passion. It's easy once you know your passion.

I love reading and writing stories and poetry. I love music, food and travel.

I want to travel everywhere. Backpack in Europe. Explore Asia. Help Arabia. Try all the different foods. Probably with the characters of PAPER TOWNS. They have a good plan in place.

You got to listen to music when you're driving or on a plane. UNWRITTEN is a bookish song. Or anything Natasha Bedingfield. Or anything bought for my phone. I just like background noise when I read or write. Yet I like to hang out with the songs I first heard of when introduced to music, instead of the newer ones. Maybe in our travels and meals we bump into my favorite artists and get to do some cool stuff like write, sing or just explore with them.

At the end and even during the adventures I'd keep a journal of poetry and what we did.

There I got everything I love to fit!

Love and thank you, Fida

#LoveAThon Mini Challenge 3

Hello Poetteers,

I have a story for you:

One day, I was WRITING with PARK. Out of the blue, a CAT came out of nowhere! It was so FAT, SLOW and ORANGE. At first, we were afraid, we were petrified, but we RAN. We hopped on CAR to make our getaway.

As we escaped, we turned up the radio because UNWRITTEN came on and made me HAPPY. Everything was extremely smooth sailing until a DOG appeared in the middle of the road. We swerved to avoid it, but while PARK stayed on CAR, I got thrown onto my side in the woods.

I couldn't get up, and felt SORE as I lay there staring up at the trees. What was I going to do? I heard a RUSTLE among the leaves, and felt SCARED. Surely, this was going to be my end. As my eyes fluttered shut, the last thing I saw was a head of BLOND hair and BLUE eyes.

When I woke up again, I was on a BED. My body hurt a whole lot less, and I could sit up. There was a ROOMMATE and NURSE in the room, along with SANDWICHES and WATER. The door suddenly opened to reveal LEVI, a concerned look on his face. I blushed and averted my gaze, but he SMILED and said, "Don't be shy. It's okay."

He came over to sit by me, and we started talking after I told him my name. We chatted about WRITING, COOKING and DANCING and realized we had a ton in common! I thought he was CUTE and couldn't help feeling a little swoony.

Just as he reached out for my hand, the door crashed open and in came MAJID. "Don't let him charm you away, my love!" He yelled, running at LEVI. They each had KITCHENWARE in their hands and began to fight. "Stop!", I yelled, feeling so TORN. They didn't listen to me. Before I could intervene, LEVI fell to the floor and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"What was that?" I asked, staring at the empty space. MAJID dropped his weapon, and came over to me. "Magic, but you are safe now, HABIBTI." He hugged me close, and I suddenly knew that this was the real deal and not just a dream.

Just as I DO ADORE started playing in my head, I woke up. I cursed my DREAMY luck. Why had it only been just a dream?

***be sure to leave a comment on what books these book boyfriends are from. And which artists these songs are from. I hope you enjoyed it!

Love and thank you, Fida

Love-a-Thon Mini Challenge 2

Hello Poetteers,

Here's my book valentine, enjoy!

Dear Book Boyfriend, I can't just pick one, yet I can't cheat. I'll create one myself. I love one who is shy and sensitive. One that is willing to help me. One who shows his strength and finishes his job. One who shows his love, but respects my boundaries. Maybe I did find my one book boyfriend. Maybe it's you, Park.

Love and thank you, Fida

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello Poetteers,

My blog title fits right in with today, lol! I couldn't share my blessings on Monday for book promo. But today's perfect!

Here are the moments I felt the most loved:

• Co-writing a poem with Misoon.
• Spontaneous visits to my BFF.
• A surprise phone call from a childhood friend I hadn't seen in more than 10 years.
• When my cats come sit by me.
• Being able to stay in contact with former teachers.
• Chatting with friends via twitter.

And many more...

Thank you Kate for the inspiration, check out her post!

Love and thank you, Fida

HER OLIVES: Title Choice

Hello Poetteers,

It's day two of the blog tour. Besides the cover and poems I needed a title, too. Here's how I came to it:

Jasmine and olives
two beautiful things
that make up Palestine

Jasmine and her olives
sounds like a picture book

Her olives
referring to Palestine as her
and the olives, olives
to me as her
and olives as my poems.

P.S. HER OLIVES is releasing exactly a week from today. Yet today is someone else's release day.

After reading the six chapter sample on wattpad I knew I would have to buy it. SOLVING FOR EX is an awesome book by Leigh Ann Kopans and you can enter a giveaway!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Love and thank you, Fida

Last Day of OLIVE JAZZ

Hello Poetteers,

We have reached the last day of OLIVE JAZZ, sadness. Today's prompt is simple. Write about the country you're from.

You can always go back to old prompts (day 4, 3, 2, 1) and respond to them separately.

Or...

You can be cool and respond to all of them in one poem.

Thank you, Fida

OLIVE JAZZ Day 4

Hello Poetteers,

We are reaching towards our last day of this poetry blogfest. Your second to last prompt is to write about a struggle and victory or struggle vs. victory, anything like that. I'll be sharing my attempt later today.

P.S. I'm adding new goal. I want to reach 15k in my WIP by the end of the week. Practically have three days left. Yet my WIP is already at 10k. That means I have to write 1k one day and 2k over the next two days. Please cheer me on #WriterRecharge!

Love and thank you, Fida

Olive Jazz Day 3 & More

Hello Poetteers,

Today is day three of OLIVE JAZZ. The prompt is write about a stranger and an enemy. If you want to go back: Day Two. Day One.

My goal is to write everyday and edit at least a page a day of MAYBE LOVING YOU.

I finished my writing for today. I still need to edit today. I did get four pages done yesterday.

P.S. You should check out the BLITZ team. In small, you spread love to bloggers. One blog I think you should check out is Cafuné, if you love poems, bookstore observations and intimate things.

Love and thank you, Fida
