The sequel to The Winter Siege is now available. A Soldier of Substance sees reluctant Nantwich constable Daniel Cheswis dragged into the world of espionage in the search for a royalist spy, whilst simultaneously having to solve the seemingly unconnected murders of three of the relatives of one of his business associates. The story is set against the backdrop of the 1644 Siege of Lathom House and the Massacre in Bolton.
