It often happens when you are with them you have to be pretty smart in handling your affair, your existence and your thoughts. I have been a patient listener and thing with being a good listener is that you tend to remember everything, well if I say everything, it means everything, right from the moment she narrates her incident, it could be anything to the thunderous modifications, additions and subtractions of her emotions to the questions i face of not being attentive and to the one of her favourite comment ‘You hardly listen’.

Well not to confuse it was once she came upset, murmuring something with her eyes brimming with tears. I was just about to ask her what had happened when she said.

“Why do all these girls create road blocks for me? Why do they bitch about me? Diya always has a problem with me, messes up my work and talks about me with her friends. Why?”

I was wondering who has now taken initiative to disrupt her mind; well you have to remember their friend’s name at finger tips and this time her friend who was at the end of being guilty was Diya. Before I could think of an answer for the questions, she answered it herself.

“It’s because they have a problem, I am just an innocent girl. I am weak and an easy target that can be fooled.” and with every word her voice choked and before I could react tears started to roll down. Oh God! I could only say this with my eyebrows raised and in a compassionate tone. But she retorted.

“You will never understand”.

This was the statement when I have hardly uttered a single word, I was just mere a listener who was trying to put efforts of suggesting or saying something but before I could say and think of anything she was quick to notice the non-obvious thing.

“What the hell are you thinking of?” She asked.

“Nothing dear, a…aa… just wondering why did she do this to you?” I was hardly aware what the poor girl diya have done to her but I have to be on my toes to just be in coherence of what she was saying.

“But what did she do?” I continued with innocent expressions and inquisitive of course with an intent of listening and understanding to her. But I don’t know suddenly I reminded myself of a wrong question that I have just asked to what did Diya do?

She was too quick to hear when she started narrating the whole incident and that was right from the time when she met her friend years ago and honestly it was too much of an effort to listen and somewhere on the line I switched off, She was swift to notice it.

“You are not listening to me, I feel as if I am talking to a wall”. She shouted.

“No no I am….am … listening.” I nodded with an expression as if you are just up after morning alarm, with raised eyebrows, sharp eyes, lips little apart to show the interest in the story.

“Then tell what I said?” She asked abruptly. Now this is like a test, first you have to be good at listening, then you should be sharp enough to remember everything because she might start quiz in between giving you questions out of the story she narrated so far. Remember! These questions will be without the options. I have to be an adroit to answer, as I need to recall everything and that too bit by bit so that I could convince her that I was attentive. Finally the story was over and I consoled her saying she should be strong and stop worrying.

“I am a strong girl and I know how to handle.” She stamped boldly cutting me just at the right time of consolation but she confused me.

Hey wait, you just said that you are weak and an easy target. What was that? Oh god! I got confused. I wished someone could tell her that she was contradicting herself but no one did. She does like that now wait ’I will show her what I can do’ was her next statement, another bold statement that left me raise my eyebrows. I was kind of biting my lower lip and could only nod and recall that it was last week when I had heard the same words but poor diya still had not suffered Her fury? I could only smile but was smart enough to hide that. A few minutes of silence and then she asked.

“Do you think I am wrong?”

I thought for a moment not analysing what has happened so far but thinking of the answer I gave last time as proving her wrong and guilty. But then i was questioned and asked to give justification with Evergreen lines ’you hardly understand, you are just dumb and you will always support other girls , because she is hot and you think that you can woo her’, all sorts of allegations that one can face in life. I was just thinking of what to reply when she questioned again.

“Where are you lost again?” She pushed me.

I just nodded with my mouth open thinking of the best possible answer to please her; hey I never have any intentions to upset her. So I said that it was not her fault her friend diya is guilty, hoping to appease her. Now you expect a cute smile after I had finished and a line for her after taking her side and being in favour of one sided victory but the reaction was just the opposite.

“Why are you always biased? I don’t need you to support me, just tell where i am wrong. How would I be able to correct myself?”

What do I do? She hardly remembers that I tried correcting last time but that too later I had to correct myself. It was only that I could notice that her eyes that were little moist a minute ago were dry now with a little spread of coal she sometimes put in her deep black eyes. I could notice they were penetrating me as if I am to pass a judgement that would decide her future, how optimistic they were. Her lips were quite as they have done enough to explain her emoticons.

“You are not wrong but she might be right too, she didn’t think about you, neither she does like the way I do. She might-or might not be with you but I would always be there to listen to you.” I don’t know what I said and what I meant with half attentive mind but that did the trick, she was convinced now or she might be too tired to question that, or she might be too hungry to discuss later but she punched me in admittance and a smile to pretty to be ignored and said

“Oh yes, I think you are right, let’s go and have something to eat. I am really hungry”

I patted my back of convincing her and I just winked. See she was hungry

The man who has left Rakhi sawant far behind in terms of controversies and spats, is in limelight again. On being asked how he has recovered from the incident that just happened during the last season where he was under scanner for spot fixing, he straightaway said that he did for extra earning so that he could produce a movie and open a dance academy. He also mentioned about his favourite actor as Emran hashmi and said he wants to remake his favourite movie ‘Jannat’.

“Even like true actor I denied of not being guilty when I was charged with spot fixing, you know, i learnt all this from my favourite movie ‘Jannat’, if god gave me a chance I would want to remake Jannat as that’s my favourite movie“

Kohli, the current Indian team caption expressed a disbelief and sudden shock moment when he found himself out of Yash camp. The man, who has always been the talk of the town during his pre-retirement days, is back again with a bang keeping media fully occupied with his latest career shift into the writing industry. The master blaster not only ruled the charts with his top scoring but he is now controlling the nerves of BCCI who are in fear of being exposed. On being asked about the new venture his wife Anjali recalled the farewell speech during West Indies tour last year. Whenever Indian batting has struggled Ashwin has been the reliable batman that India has produced per chance. The Helicopter man chose to stay away from the controversies by trying his level best to concentrate only on cricket in the current champion’s trophy but it seems like Rakhi Sawant invites media, for him media invites Dhoni. Who is HE?

Reema had been in denial for quite some time now.

She had everything. A big palatial bungalow, in one of the most posh localities of Delhi, parents whose affluence speaks of Mercs and Skodas, doting on her with all material luxuries she could ever think of… Her birthdays are celebrated in a new city each year. The last three were Paris, Miami and Kingston. Paris marked her 21st birthday. Last year. Her gift was a diamond trinket that she hung on a small delicate chain of platinum below her neck. She was beautiful. And when I say beautiful, I mean really really angelic. Her colour reflected sunshine, eyes a deep brown with a twinkle.

Yet, there was something fundamentally wrong. Something was missing. Her parents had given up. Nothing seemed to bring back her lost smile.

It had started with that one dream, or rather, mom and dad would want to call it nightmare, on the night of her 19th birthday. It’s been three years now. Her dreams keep recurring and draining her of her vitality. She complained of an image. A blurred one. A tall man in blue shirt and blue jeans, on a brown horse. A small helmet kind of thingie on his head. He looked regal. Her words. He has a sword in his hand. He is coming for her.

And then she wakes up.

Thus started those hauntings. Of someone she had never met or heard of. She described her nightmares vividly. Her nightmare would always start at 1.11 AM. And she always saw him in vivid forms. A big round face, a benign smile. Yet he would come out to get her. She felt she knew him. Yet she had never met him.

She saw him in grey sometimes. He was wearing a uniform sometimes. He always held a weapon in his hand.

Her nightmares just did not let her sleep. Dark circles around her red blood-shot eyes spoke of how tormented she was. She spoke of extending her hand to him. And he would attack each time. She would flinch, but she would move towards him again. He would attack again.

Yet, she saw him each night. As if he was punishing her. For something she had done to him.
